Chapter - 2852

Quinlan's response left Sole Wolf dumbfounded.

He's spouting nonsense! Where am I supposed to find a parallel universe, let alone have the powers to explode it?

Just then, Zeke interrupted, “Did any of you hear a sigh just now?"

The others exchanged puzzled glances. "What sigh?"

Zeke continued, "Didn't you hear a sigh in your minds right before the parallel universe exploded? It was a sigh that carried disappointment."

Everyone shook their heads. "No, we didn't."

Zeke fell into deep contemplation.

His heightened sixth sense told him that the sigh originated from Terrachus.

Why would he sigh? And why was I the only one who heard it? He's clearly disappointed in my actions, but why is he disappointed?

Countless questions swirled in Zeke's mind.

Oh well, there's no point dwelling on it. It's hard for me to comprehend the thoughts of a formidable being like Terrachus. Since he didn't harm me, there must be some rules constraining his actions. If he is unable to harm me, then why should I even concern myself with him?

Zeke was filled with remorse as he gazed down at Lacey cradled in his embrace. "I'm sorry," he whispered, “I came to your rescue so late, and you've suffered."

Lacey reached out to smoothen the man's scrunched-up brows. "Zeke, don't frown. You'll get wrinkles."

Sole Wolf and the others came over to speak to Lacey, grinning from ear to ear. "Lacey, we've heard that you've gotten better at making roasted chicken. We would love to have a taste of it someday."

"Yeah, Lacey. We're getting sick of plain boiled meat."

"I can't stop thinking about roasted chicken now."

Quinlan said with a solemn expression, "I hope you remember that I was the one who protected you when we were in the parallel universe, Lacey. I'm the reason why you are still alive. You promised to make your delicious roasted chicken for me whenever I crave it. They only get to enjoy it when I have more than I can finish."

Zeke's surprised gaze fell upon Quinlan as he wondered if Quinlan's concern for Lacey stemmed from his fear of her meeting an untimely death, thus depriving him of the joy of devouring roasted chicken.

It seemed like a plausible explanation.

Quinlan is such a glutton!

The King of Dragons said in annoyance, “You humans and your incessant babble. It's time to set our plan in motion."

Zeke and the others snapped back to attention. "Let's begin."

With a swift flick of its tail, the King of Dragons effortlessly opened a spatial passage, which was surprisingly sturdy and penetrated the ancient sector.

Sole Wolf and the others were in awe. The King of Dragons truly lived up to its status as the ruler of Theos Island. Its power was formidable, effortlessly tearing through the fabric of space and creating a spatial passage.

Sole Wolf's eyes fixated on the King of Dragons' majestic tail, his mind consumed by a potent mix of awe and longing. A weapon infused with the essence of the King of Dragons' scale would render him virtually invincible.

As if sensing the audacity of Sole Wolf's thoughts, the King of Dragons turned its head and glanced at him.

It smirked and said, "You've got quite the nerve to think of taking advantage of me."

Sole Wolf's heart skipped a beat. “Hold on. Don't tell me you can-"

Before he could finish his sentence, the King of Dragons let out a powerful sneeze that was as strong as a tornado.

The sheer power of the sneeze was enough to send Sole Wolf hurtling through the air.

"That's right! I can read your thoughts. Enough with the chitchat," the King of Dragons said impatiently, “I can maintain this stable spatial passage for ten minutes. Hurry up and cross over."

Zeke was secretly in awe of the King of Dragon's power. The spatial passage he produced using the Dragon King Sword could only last for barely a minute at best.

Yet, with a casual flick of its tail, the of Dragons was capable of producing a passage that could last ten minutes.

This highlighted the stark disparity between Zeke's power and the King of Dragons!

It was a humbling reminder that Zeke had much room for growth and improvement.
