Chapter - 2862

As the tension in Theos' grip grew heavier, Lacey found it increasingly difficult to breathe. "Zeke... save me... please..."

Through gritted teeth, Zeke demanded, "Theos, let her go. You want Soul Blood? I-I can give you mine..."

"Apologies," Theos scoffed. "Your Soul Blood is too foul for my liking. I don't need it."

He turned to Lacey and said, “I want yours."

Terrified out of her wits, Lacey could only agree. “Okay, okay. I'll give it to you."

Zeke tried to intervene, but it was too late.

Lacey slapped her chest harshly.

Then, a strange phenomenon occurred. Instead of spewing out Soul Blood, Lacey's figure began to waver and fluctuate, her features shifting and changing.

She looked remarkably like... Quinlan.

Taken aback, Theos quickly realized what was happening. “D*mn it,” he cursed and attempted to make his escape, but it was already too late.

As soon as he turned around, "Lacey" exploded in a blast of force.

The power of her self-detonation was on par with the self-destruction of a Celestial Class warrior. Theos, caught in the blast radius, was immediately reduced to a bloody pulp.

Even the distant figures of Zeke and Quinlan felt the powerful shockwave.

The King of Dragon's protective shield also shuddered noticeably.

At the moment of Lacey's self destruction, Zeke's heart felt like it shattered.

However, he quickly regained his composure, as he realized that something was amiss.

When Lacey's figure wavered, her face had momentarily taken on the visage of Quinlan.

Besides, her behavior when held captive by Theos was completely unlike her.

The real Lacey would never be so naïve to think that Theos was asking for her period blood, much less teasing the man with the joke.

That Lacey might not be the real Lacey. If that's the case, then where is the real Lacey?

"D*mned imposter!" Theos' voice. boomed overhead.

Everyone looked up in surprise. Hadn't Theos been utterly obliterated? How is he still alive?

They looked up to see a semitransparent figure of Theos hovering in the sky, his eyes filled with indignant fury.

The crowd suddenly understood. Theos' physical body may have been destroyed, but his spirit, though severely injured, was intact.

Theos glared at Quinlan. "D*mn it! D*mn it! That wasn't Lacey Hinton? It was your avatar? You're a despicable man, resorting to such deceitful trickery! That was dishonorable and beneath contempt!"

Quinlan merely chuckled and said, "Theos, out of everyone in the whole world, only you do not have the right to accuse me of that. Weren't you the one who ambushed me with an ancient deity's avatar? If you can use an avatar to ambush me, why can't I do the same to you?"

Theos was rendered speechless.

It was then Zeke and the others finally realized that Quinlan had been replaced by Quinlan's avatar.

The man had essentially impersonated Lacey.

Quinlan is really going to great lengths to deal with Theos, so much so that he even self-detonated one of his avatars to take down Theos.

Nevertheless, his efforts had not been in vain, for Theos had lost much more than just an avatar.

Now, Theos appeared to be hanging by a thread and on the verge of collapse at any time.

However, the whereabouts of the real Lacey remained a mystery.

Zeke looked at Quinlan and asked, "Quinlan, where is the real Lacey?"

The latter broke into a slight smiled. "Do you wish to know?"

"Of course," Zeke snapped.

"All right. Easy. Just end our master disciple relationship, and I'll tell you," Quinlan said.

End our master-disciple relationship?

Theos was stumped, while Karter and Erebus also looked baffled.

However, realization soon dawned on them. Quinlan must have become Zeke's disciple for him to say this.

Theos began to laugh uproariously. "The man revered as the most powerful man on Theos Island, and you've actually honored Zeke as your master? Haha! Aren't you worried that others will laugh at you? Your lifelong honorable reputation will be forever ruined, Quinlan! Haha!”
