Chapter - 2871

Having lost his patience, King of Dragons thundered, "Zeke, you're missing the big picture. To be honest, it's impossible for a lot of you to survive the ancient sector, let alone get out of here alive. If I'm able to recover the peak of my powers, the chances of us surviving will greatly increase. Therefore, you're helping yourself by helping me. How can you not understand such a simple concept and insist on me paying such an exorbitant rent?"

Zeke replied, "I don't care, as I know Terrachus will exterminate your race if you don't protect us, especially if something happens to Lacey. So, you decide whether you want to keep us safe or have your race wiped out."

The King of Dragons roared, "Argh!

You have gone too far! Humans are shameless. How can such scum be allowed to exist in the world?"

The King of Dragons was tormented to the point of submission. In the end, it gritted its teeth as it handed over all the spirit pills in its hands.

There were more than twenty in total.

Zeke's eyes sparkled in excitement, while the King of Dragons almost shed tears of devastation.

Despite expending significant effort in gathering them, it now had to give them all up to someone else.

In its mind, it swore to teach the insolent young man before it a lesson once he recovered its full power.

No one takes my things without paying a price.

The King of Dragons took a deep breath. "Can I now enter your body to cultivate?"

Zeke flashed a slight smile. "Come on in."

Thereafter, the King of Dragons turned into a ray of light and entered Zeke's body.

Zeke then picked out two spirit pills, throwing one each to Pangolin and Anteater.

Both of them were caught by surprise. "Mr. Williams, what are you-”

"Didn't the King of Dragons take away your spirit pills? Now, you can absorb them to recover your strength so that you can help us fight the dangers that lurk in the ancient sector."

What?

Tears of gratitude welled up in Pangolin's and Anteater's eyes as they dropped to their knees before Zeke.

Back when their spirit pills were plundered by the King of Dragons, they became pessimistic about their future, thinking that they would die from their rapidly aging body without the pills.

Little did they expect Zeke to present them each with one. On top of that, these pills were more potent than the ones they previously had.

In essence, Zeke had given them a second shot at life, which was reason enough for them to kneel before him.

Zeke waved his hand. "Don't waste time on pointless gestures. If you really want to repay me, swallow the spirit pills and regain your power so that you can help us survive this place." you

Pangolin and Anteater asserted, "Don't worry, Mr. Williams. Once we recover our strength, we'll definitely protect you even if it cost us our lives!"

Just as they spoke, both of them closed their eyes to meditate and absorb the spirit pills they had consumed.

Zeke used the opportunity to discuss with Quinlan. "Quinlan, where do you think the divine weapon Terrachus wants us to find is?"

Scanning the surroundings, Quinlan replied, “If my guess is correct, it should be in the center of the ancient sector."

"In that case, which direction should we take?"

Smoke had fogged up the entire place, causing them to lose their sense of direction.

Quinlan took another look around before letting out a sigh. "I'm just as clueless as you are."

"Zeke, I have a compass," Sole Wolf remarked abruptly as he retrieved one from his pocket.

Due to his position as General North, Sole Wolf always carried a compass which was indispensable in war.

"Give it to me."

Upon taking the compass in his hand, Zeke quickly noticed that the needle was unable to steady itself, rendering it useless.

Quinlan explained, "In this place, the energy field determines the direction instead of the magnetic field. Clearly, your compass is incapable of detecting the former."
