Chapter - 2874

What's going on?

Everyone exchanged baffled glances.

"We didn't make any turns just now, so how did we end up at our starting point?"

"I don't know. This place gives me the creeps."

"Let's retrace our steps. There's no way we'll end up here again."

The group subsequently turned their attention to Zeke as they awaited his decision.

Zeke nodded in agreement. "Let's try that. Remember to watch out. Let me know if you notice anything suspicious."

"Understood!"

The group nodded in acknowledgment.

With Zeke and Quinlan in the lead, all of them continued their journey warily.

While doing so, Zeke held onto Lacey's hand tightly, worried that he would lose her the moment he let go.

After walking for more than ten minutes, they returned to the exact same spot.

"D*mn it!" Zeke cussed. “What in the world is going on? We didn't even take a turn.

“Quinlan, did you notice anything amiss?"

Quinlan let out a sigh. "No."

Zeke proceeded to check with Ossa Dei and the King of Dragons, but neither of them had any solutions, either.

After some deliberation, Zeke suggested, "Sole Wolf, you guys take the lead this time, while we follow you from behind. Perhaps you might be able to detect what's wrong."

However, silence was all Zeke got in response, causing his brows to knit tightly together.

"Sole Wolf?"

Turning around, Zeke noticed that there was no one behind him.

Where's Sole Wolf? Did he lose his way? That's impossible.

Zeke cried out at the top of his voice, "Sole Wolf, Killer Wolf, where are you?"

As Zeke looked around, the black mist seemed to have thickened, reducing his visibility to less than two meters.

He had no choice but to unleash his energy to investigate his surroundings.

Unfortunately, with the death aura acting as a barrier, Zeke could only survey the area within a two-kilometer radius.

However, he failed to detect any living being.

D*mn it!

Zeke's fists clenched in exasperation. "I can't believe how freaky this place is."

Meanwhile, Lacey suggested warily, "Zeke, I just sensed something strange."

Oh?

Zeke turned to look at her. "What is it?"

Lacey elaborated, "Halfway through, I felt the air before me tremor, just like a ripple on the surface of a river. When all of you walked through the ripple in the air, you seemed to disappear for a split second."

"Hmm?"

Zeke and Quinlan gave each other a look.

"A ripple in the air? An instantaneous disappearance?"

All of a sudden, both of them cried out in unison, "Teleportation!"

That's right! There has to be a parallel universe here. The place where the ripples in the air were must be its entrance. We must have entered it every time, which explains the endless loop we're in.

Zeke remarked, "It'll be easier for us now that we know the problem. I'll smash the parallel universe later so that we can escape this endless loop."

"Okay!"

Zeke turned toward Lacey. "Lacey, do you remember where the ripple is located?"

After pondering a moment, she shook her head. "I don't. This place doesn't have any landmarks as everywhere looks the same. I can barely see the surroundings when it's entirely covered by black fog."

Zeke answered. "It's all right. We'll just continue walking ahead. Let me know once you notice the vortex in the air."

"Okay."

Zeke instructed Quinlan, "You take the lead, while Lacey and I will follow you from behind. Once we see the entrance to the parallel universe, I'll smash it to pieces."

Quinlan nodded in agreement. "Let's go."

With that, the group continued with Quinlan in front.

Along the way, Quinlan analyzed, "If I'm not mistaken, this place should have more than one parallel universe. Sole Wolf and the others must have gone into a different one by mistake. That's how they were separated from us."

Zeke inquired, "Is there a way to find all the parallel universes here so that we can pinpoint their location?"
