Chapter - 2904

Tiger King was impatient. "Hurry up, then. Say what you will. I can't hold it much longer."

"I-I don't wish to endure the pain of getting torn apart by all of you," Corra stammered. “That would hurt so much. How about this? You could give me a painless death."

Tiger King thought about it. "Very well. I could grant you that much. I will give you a fatal bite to the throat."

"You don't understand my species, Tiger King. Even if I were decapitated, I would remain conscious and unkillable as long as my brain remained intact."

"Then tell us, how would you like to die painlessly?"

Corra's gaze fell onto Gray Rat. "I'd like to ask for a favor, Gray. Give me a painless death. Your fangs contain venom. Bite me, and I will experience. a euphoria of hallucinations and not feel pain at all. As a token of gratitude, I would want Gray to possess my spirit pill."

Gray Rat agreed quickly, "That sounds good to me. Does anybody have any objections?"

Although the beasts coveted Corra's spirit pill, it was worth nothing compared to the prospect of fresh blood.

Fresh blood can keep us alive. Can the spirit pill do that?

"I have no objections," Tiger King said. "How about the rest of you?"

The beasts nodded. "No objections."

"I agree."

Gray Rat bravely took a step forward. "Safe journey, friend. I will help look after your family."

Gray Rat dashed toward Corra and bared its fangs, aiming at the latter's neck.

Unexpectedly, at that tense moment, Corra bared its own bloody maw and swallowed Gray Rat whole.

Gray Rat did not see it coming. It refused to believe Corra would retaliate moments before death by swallowing it whole.

Gray Rat struggled, but Corra's fangs had pierced its body. Then, the venom kicked in. It felt its strength leaving it. Moments later, it was rendered completely immobile.

It could not even detonate its life force and take Corra down with it.

Gray Rat was furious. It did not expect to be outwitted by Corra.

What should I do?

The beasts were stunned. They looked at Corra in confusion.

"What are you doing, Corra?"

"Wasn't it your wish to die a painless death? Why didn't you let Gray Rat send you on your way?"

"Do you have a grudge against Gray Rat? You wanted to settle your score with it before you die, is that it?”

"Now that you've got your revenge, it's time for us to feast on your flesh!"

Corra gave a bitter laugh. “As you've seen, my tail is broken, and most of my flesh and blood has been washed away by the river. With the amount of meat left on me, I'm nothing more than snake jerky. You can eat me, but it won't do anything for you."

"I wouldn't worry about that if I were you," Tiger King replied. "I just need a drop to nourish my body."

"Hold your horses, Tiger King,” Corra said. "I have an idea for you to feast, quench your thirst, and even cleanse yourselves."

Oh?

Everyone gazed at Corra with interest. "Tell us, how can we achieve that?"

Corra spat Gray Rat out.

Although it did not die, it was completely paralyzed.

It could not do anything else besides glaring at Corra.

"I'll let you in on a secret," Corra said mysteriously. "Do you know how Gray Rat obtained its spirit pill?"

The spirit pill of the primordial beast was not pulled from thin air but synthesized from natural materials.

Corra's spirit pill, for example, was created from an ancient strain of ginseng.

Tiger King's spirit pill, on the other hand, was forged from a shard of meteorite as old as time.

Everyone gazed at Corra, puzzled by its sudden mention of spirit pills.

Tiger King grew impatient. "Say what you will, Corra. I don't have the time to spare waiting for you to get to the point."

"All right, then," Corra said. "I'll cut it short. The truth is, Gray Rat's spirit pill is-"
