Chapter - 2911

Quinlan's attitude toward Zeke was suddenly much more respectful.

The latter was taken aback. "Heavenly God? What Heavenly God?" he asked.

"The one who just delivered a message to you, of course," Quinlan replied.

Zeke remained silent, as no one had delivered any message to him. This socalled Heavenly God appeared to be just a figment of Quinlan's imagination.

However, Quinlan's unwavering expression hinted at his belief in the existence of Heavenly God, suggesting that he might have heard ancient legends.

Zeke's interest in Heavenly God was piqued.

Hence, he asked, "Who exactly is this Heavenly God, Quinlan? Have you heard stories about it?"

"Heavenly God is the true deity of Theos Island. Although King of Dragons often claims it rules over Theos Island, have you ever considered its origins? Who built the island?"

Hold on, built? Zeke was astonished. "Isn't Theos Island a natural formation? How could it have been built?"

"Do you recall my suspicion that Theos Island might be a prison? If that's the case, it must have been constructed by someone. Furthermore, there are unmistakable signs of human craftsmanship all across the island, suggesting it is not a product of nature."

The idea of Theos Island being potentially artificially created left Zeke awestruck, especially since the island was massive.

Oh my gosh! The creator must be immensely powerful to be able to build this place.

Quinlan continued, "I have always suspected that all the beings on Theos Island are criminals, and Heavenly God is the warden of this prison. Every move we make is under its watchful eye; even Terrachus is its prisoner. Heavenly God is also responsible for creating the laws of Theos Island. I've always considered this theory merely as speculation. However, now that you had contact with the spiritual sense, I'm almost certain that the theory is true."

His words echoed in Zeke's mind, causing a wave of unease to wash over him.

Although he didn't actually receive words from a spiritual sense, Quinlan's words were logically sound and highly believable.

If it was indeed true that an entity called Heavenly God controlled the island, then his previous false claim of receiving spiritual sense could invoke its ire.

What if someone that powerful becomes enraged? Would I have any chance of survival?

"Haha!" A chilling laughter suddenly reverberated in Zeke's mind.

The voice was not loud, but it resonated clearly and carried an imposing presence.

In an instant, Zeke's mind went blank.

A surge of panic crashed through him as he wondered if the laughter was from Heavenly God.

Oh no, did I really receive the spiritual sense from Heavenly God this time? Was that Heavenly God laughing at me? Damn, I'm in trouble! Maybe Heavenly God does exist, and it found out I was lying!

His legs went weak, nearly causing him to kneel for Heavenly God.

Heavenly God, I didn't mean to offend you. Please forgive me. I'm sorry, Heavenly God, he prayed mentally.

But this time, he received no response from Heavenly God.

Suddenly, Lacey asked, "What's wrong, Zeke?"

Upon hearing her voice, Zeke quickly. looked down and saw that she had awakened and looked relatively well.

However, she appeared slightly weaker than usual due to not eating anything for a long while.

Zeke breathed a sigh of relief and reassured her, "Lacey, you're awake. Everything's fine now."

Turning to Squirrel, he ordered, "Squirrel, quickly bring one of your chestnuts for Lacey to eat."

Squirrel protested, "I don't have much food left."

"Enough with the excuses. If you don't give her your chestnuts, I won't let you access the spiritual spring."

With no other choice, the squirrel reluctantly handed a chestnut to Lacey.

This was no ordinary chestnut; it was infused with spiritual energy.
