Tiger King contemplated for a moment and nodded. "Hmm, what you said does make sense. Since that's the case, I'll follow your lead then."

Theos took the Ginseng Doll and said, "All right, let's leave now."

With that, the group started walking away.

However, they didn't actually leave. Instead, they hid themselves in a corner again, waiting for the other Ginseng Dolls to reappear.

Alas, it seemed that those Ginseng Dolls had learned from their previous experience. Even though Theos and the others appeared to have left this time, those dolls made no move to show themselves.

After waiting for about an hour without any results, Theos and the others decided to leave for real. After all, they didn't have much time to waste here.

On their way out, a murderous aura emanated from Tiger King once again as it trained its hostile gaze at those foxes.

Sensing that, their hearts raced, for they realized that Tiger King was indeed going to betray and kill them.

Now, their only hope for survival lay with Theos.

As such, Red Foxes started flirting with Theos, hoping to seduce him so that he would save their lives when the time came.

Upon leaving the burrow and returning to the surface, Tiger King uttered in a sinister tone, "Hmph! It's the Red Foxes' fault that we were

exposed, resulting in us only obtaining one Ginseng Doll. We could have harvested at least ten Ginseng Dolls if it weren't because of you foxes. I demand compensation!"

The Red Foxes trembled when they heard that.

Quaking with fear, Sienna croaked, “Lord Tiger King, Red Foxes have accumulated countless rare and precious treasures over the years. Please feel free to take them if you find them pleasing.”

In response, Tiger King growled. "Hmph! Do you think I'm a beggar or something? The treasures you have collected are nothing but scraps fit for paupers! If you can't give me ten Ginseng Dolls today, all of you will die!"

Despair washed over the Red Foxes as their faces fell.

It's simply impossible for us to produce ten Ginseng Dolls right this instant! The only one who can save us now is Theos...

With that thought in mind, they turned to stare at Theos pitifully.

Theos let out a sigh and told Tiger King, "Lord Tiger King, there is no need for unnecessary bloodshed. Besides, killing these foxes will bring us no benefits."

"I don't mind as long as it brings me satisfaction. Theos, don't tell me you're still trying to protect them? You should keep your guard up against these femme fatales. This group of seductive foxes will eventually betray you, came "Tiger King's reply.

To that, Theos said, "Lord Tiger King, please refrain from saying such nonsense. I simply believe that keeping these Red Foxes alive could prove to be beneficial in the future."

"What kind of benefits are you talking about? Do elaborate more. If you can provide a valid reason, I will spare them," Tiger King said.

Theos explained, "Well, I don't know if you noticed, but ever since the Ginseng Doll left the underground, it has been withering, showing symptoms of imminent death. A dead Ginseng Doll holds no value and can't be used to threaten Aged Ginseng. Therefore, we need someone to take good care of this Ginseng Doll and make sure that it stays alive... at least until we can reunite it with Aged Ginseng."

He added, "Neither you nor I can spare the energy to care for this Ginseng Doll. As such, I think it might be better to entrust the care of this Ginseng Doll to these foxes."

Sienna chimed in, "That's right! Lord Tiger King, we can definitely help take care for this Ginseng Doll for you. After all, we have been dealing with Ginsengs for thousands of years. No one understands their habits better than us. We assure you that we will take excellent care of this doll. Should anything unfortunate happen to it, you are welcome to punish us as you see fit."

Tiger King ruminated about it for a moment before relenting. "Very well, since that's the case, I will give you a chance. You'd better deliver on your promise. Otherwise, death shall be a merciful punishment for you."

The clan leader of Red Foxes heaved a sigh of relief. “Thank you for granting us this opportunity, Lord Tiger King."
