Chapter - 2974

Lacey let out a sigh. "Earlier, we accidentally triggered King of Eurasia's Restrictive Spell, setting off Eurasia Sword. It then cleaved the space into pieces, and all of us transcended through space. We haven't got a clue where Zeke has ended up."

King of Eurasia, she says?

Curiosity got the better of Ares. "Who's that?"

"He, too, is a formidable figure of Eternal Class from ancient times."

"Are there that many Eternal Class warriors? How come you just arrived, and we already have two warriors of Eternal Class?"

"Aged Ginseng told us that in ancient times, there were hundreds of Eternal Class warriors among the humans. However, after the Battle of Mortals and Gods, more than half of the humans in Eternal Class perished. Today, not many of them are alive."

Wow! There were over a hundred Eternal Class warriors!

Once again, Ares and the rest were taken by surprise.

The group quickened their pace, and before long, they returned to the place where King of Eurasia's Restrictive Spell Formation was last activated.

The place had long been ravaged by Eurasia Sword, leaving nothing except devastation in its wake. The landscape was scarred with deep gashes, a sight of utter chaos and destruction, It was as if an apocalypse had befallen the vicinity a while ago.

The fissure created by Eurasia Sword was dozens of meters deep, so deep that one could not see the end of it. It was intricate and complex, interweaving itself like a spider's web.

Though Ares and the others did not clap their eyes on the very scene when the Restrictive Spell Formation was activated, they could imagine just how intense and shocking that moment must have been.

"Don't touch anything here, especially the stones. If you accidentally trigger the Restrictive Spell Formation, it'd be disastrous," warned Lacey.

At once, Ares raised a question. "How did you guys manage to trigger it, anyway, Lacey?"

Then came Lacey's revelation. "Aged Ginseng accidentally touched a stone and triggered it."

Out of nowhere, Ares suggested, "I guess we should set off the Restrictive Spell Formation again."

"But why?" asked Lacey anxiously.

"If not, how are we going to find Zeke and the others?"

Lacey's explanation came on the heels of his remark. “Things aren't as you imagine. Even if we do trigger the Restrictive Spell Formation, Eurasia Sword would shatter this space to pieces, and we might not even be transported to where Zeke had been. The teleportation must be random. Take me for example. I teleported to the Grand Canyon."

Her words elicited a headache in Ares. "What should we do, then? This ancient battlefield spans a gazillion miles. How on earth are we going to find Zeke?"

"Shh!" Tyler abruptly hushed the man. "I think I hear someone coming our way."

Is Zeke back?

Everyone was overjoyed and began looking around in all directions.

Alfred, for one, noticed something amiss then and there. "Oh, no! Theos and the gang have returned."

"D*mn it!" Ares muttered under his breath, "Why's that horde of people here? Are they here for Lacey?"

"Could it be that they've realized Lacey can only defend but not initiate an attack?" Tyler chimed in.

Lacey had to agree. "It's pretty likely. Given Theos' wits, I guess this would be like a walk in the park for him. Let's hide."

Right then, Ares reassured her, "Have no fear, Lacey, for they can't hurt you. As for us, we can fight them tooth and nail. Killing any one of them would be worth it; killing two would mean we're ahead of them.”

Not a split second did Lacey waste in telling them otherwise. "You all need to find a hiding place this instant. Don't show yourselves without my signal.”

Ares waved his hand at that. "It's no use. We can't hide for long. They'll surely find us. Besides, as the right-hand men of the Great Marshal, how could we cower with fear in the face of our enemy?"

"I'm not asking you to cower. I now have a better plan to eliminate them all, but I need your cooperation," pronounced Lacey.

None of them had an idea of what she had in mind.

Ares regarded Lacey with the utmost curiosity. "If we're not hiding from them, from whom are we hiding?"

"From the power of Restrictive Spell Formation," was the woman's answer.

With that, she spilled the deets in her head to the three of them.
