Chapter - 3019

The sudden turn of events gave everyone quite a scare.

However, the burly man who was hit quickly regained his composure and roared angrily, "Boys, take them down! Why are you being sneaky and even wearing a stealth suit? Do you think we're in ancient times? I bet your frail bodies can't even take a hit.”

The other three burly men also immediately charged forward.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

After a series of thumping sounds, the three burly men also fell to the ground.

Among the three, two fainted.

However, the two individuals dressed in a stealth suit remained completely unscathed.

The burly man was dumbfounded. He stared at them in disbelief. "W-Who are you people? We probably don't have any grudges or grievances between us. W-Why would you attack us?"

The two individuals in black ignored the burly man; their focus was entirely on Missy.

They first examined the injuries of Missy, Daniel, and Hannah's injuries. The situation was unfavorable.

"Take them to the hospital," the tall man in black ordered. "I'll stay here and report the situation to Boss."

"Understood!" the short man in black immediately agreed. He took Missy, Daniel, and Hannah into the car and sped toward the hospital.

The tall man in black immediately reported the situation to Zeke.

Their leader was Zeke.

They were both members of Nightingale Squad.

Members of Nightingale Squad were scattered throughout the world, each with different identities.

Coincidentally, these two "Nightingales" lived in that shanty town and made a living by selling meat daily.

Upon receiving the mission from Nightingale Squad, they immediately thought of the elderly couple in the urban village, who made a living by collecting trash.

The child the elderly couple was with greatly resembled the girl they were supposed to find in their mission from Nightingale Squad.

Therefore, they immediately tracked down the elderly couple and found them there.

The burly man looked at the tall figure in black and felt unease in his heart.

He cautiously planned to retreat.

However, the tall man in black clearly would not allow it to happen. With a few swift punches and kicks, he knocked them all out. Then, he disappeared without a trace.

The man arrived at a secluded corner and reported Missy's whereabouts to his higher-ups.

News of Missy's whereabouts was passed on and eventually reached Zeke's ears in no time.

Upon learning about Missy's whereabouts, the weight in Zeke and Lacey's hearts finally lifted.

Zeke asked uneasily, "How is Missy doing? Is she living well?"

The leader of Nightingale Squad responded respectfully over the phone, "As soon as I learned of Ms. Williams' whereabouts, I reported to you immediately, so I did not ask too much about Ms. Williams' specifics. I will find out immediately and report back to you as soon as possible."

Zeke said, "Forget it. Have the Nightingale who found Missy contact me directly. I want to understand the situation personally."

"Understood," Then, the leader of Nightingale Squad immediately ordered the tall man in black to initiate contact with Zeke.

"H-Hello, Great Marshal. I am Nightingale Squad's thirty-second member. Y-You can call me ThirtyTwo." The other person's voice was trembling severely.

There was no helping it. He never imagined he would have the chance to speak directly with the Great Marshal in his lifetime. His heart was practically leaping out of his chest from excitement.

Zeke said, "Thirty-Two, tell me about Ms. Williams' situation."

Thirty-Two quickly replied, “Great Marshal, in truth, I and Ms. Williams are neighbors. However, I was previously unaware of her identity, so I failed to look after her. I apologize! Please administer punishment."

Zeke said, "Ignorance is not to be blamed. Could you first tell me about her previous living conditions?"

Thirty-Two sighed. "Ms. Williams.... led a tough life. The two elderly individuals moved here a year ago. They are homeless and often resort to sleeping on the streets. Fortunately, they managed to rent a small house with the money they earned from collecting and selling trash. The house was so small. It was even smaller than a public restroom."

He added, "The issue of accommodation was resolved, but their meals became a problem. The money they earned from collecting scraps was barely enough after paying the rent. They often found themselves in situations where they often had to starve. Ms. Williams is very sensible. She often helps the two elders pick up trash. The two elders constantly sold. their blood to ensure Ms. Williams could eat her fill and had clothes to stay warm. Just a moment ago, when I found them, they had gone to sell their blood. The old woman even fainted because she had given too much blood. From what I've initially gathered, they sold their blood to pay for Ms. Williams' medical treatment because she has a high fever."

Zeke remained silent.
