Great Marshal/

Chapter - 3020

Chapter - 3020

Upon hearing this, Lacey was already in tears.

Zeke's heart ached as if it was being pricked by a needle.

He never would have imagined that one day, his daughter and in-laws would fall into such a low state.

D*rn it! D*mn it all! F*ck you, new Great Marshal!

Zeke directed all his anger towards the new Great Marshal.

The invisible aura of menace radiating from him was so intense that it terrified Squirrel. Left with no choice, it scurried into Dawn's arms and trembled uncontrollably.

This man is so fierce, I must keep my distance from him in the future.

"Speed up!" Zeke roared at the cockpit. "Go full speed ahead."

"Reporting to the Great Marshal, this is already the fastest speed per the aircraft's regulations-" the pilot responded.

Zeke interrupted him, "Push the plane's speed to its limit! Immediately! This is an order!"

As it was an order, the pilot was left with no choice but to obey.

He immediately cranked up the speed to the maximum.

A journey that was supposed to take three hours was surprisingly shortened. to only two hours.

Oakheart City was Zeke's hometown.

Even though a new Great Marshal had replaced Zeke, the latter still held considerable influence in Oakheart City.

After arranging for someone to help Quinlan, Squirrel, and Nancy to settle down, Zeke brought Lacey and Sole Wolf toward the hospital.

He was determined to uncover the truth. Then, he would seek revenge and settle scores.

In the serene corridors of the hospital, Daniel paced restlessly. He felt uneasy staying still.

Missy and Hannah were rushed into the emergency room for immediate treatment. Daniel was also seriously injured and met the criteria for hospitalization. However, he stubbornly refused to be admitted and insisted on waiting at the entrance until Hannah and Missy were out of danger.

If he were also admitted to the hospital, no one would be around to take care of Missy and Hannah when they were released.

The Nightingale, who escorted him there, had a sensitive identity. They had to remain covert. Without Zeke's permission, they could not stay out for long periods.

Therefore, after the Nightingale had taken them to the hospital, he hid in the shadows and safeguarded their safety from there.

His gaze was fixated on the red light above the operating room, eagerly hoping it would turn green soon.

"Dad," Lacey called out, and her voice echoed in the quiet corridor.

“Dad...” Daniel froze, unable to believe his ears. He lifted his head and looked in the direction of the voice.

Is this... Lacey's voice? Is Lacey back? This can't be possible. It must be because I miss her so much that I'm hearing things...

However, Daniel was shocked when he saw Lacey standing at the corridor entrance and looking at him with teary eyes.

It's my daughter. My sweetie has really come back! I'm not hearing things.

Overwhelmed by emotion, Daniel. could not hold back his tears any longer.

"Lacey, is it really you? That's wonderful. I-" Before Daniel could. finish his sentence, Lacey rushed. forward and embraced him tightly.

At this moment, Lacey was heartbroken.

Her father's hair had almost turned completely white, and he had lost a noticeable amount of weight. His face was full of wrinkles, so he looked more than twenty years older than his actual age.

Moreover, he was covered in wounds, especially on his face. Blood was still seeping out, so he looked extremely miserable.

Lacey cried hysterically, "I'm sorry, Dad. It's my fault for coming back late and causing you to suffer."

Daniel also sighed. "It's fine as long as you come back. That's enough. Lacey, I'm useless. I couldn't protect Missy..."

This scene would bring tears to all its audience.

Lacey hurriedly asked, “Dad, where are Missy and Mom? How are they doing now?"

Daniel answered, "They are still being treated in the emergency room. I have no idea how things are going. The doctor hasn't come out yet."

Zeke walked to the door and peered through the crack. However, all he could see was the corridor. The scene inside the operating room remained out of sight.

However, he could faintly hear noise coming from the operating room.
