Great Marshal/

Chapter - 3043

Chapter - 3043

Since this is being broadcast live in its entirety, people all over the country could watch it.

Hence, quite a few people from outside had been calling in, looking for their relatives.

Most of them actually managed to find their missing relatives from years ago.

The scene had unexpectedly transformed into a large-scale family reunion.

While everyone was engrossed in the heartwarming reunion scenes, the vast majority of journalists remained clear headed.

One of them asked, "So, are you saying that what you've said is true, that the Great Marshal is indeed innocent? Then, may I ask where he is?"

Isaac glanced at the backstage.

Following his line of sight, everyone focused their gaze on the entrance to the stage, too.

In the midst of the crowd's eager anticipation, Zeke, hand in hand with Missy, slowly made their way up to the stage.

Zeke showed no interest in the people below the stage, fully absorbed in playing with Missy.

A reporter below the stage greeted Zeke, "It's been a while, Great Marshal."

Zeke merely responded with a faint smile, then continued to play with Missy, completely neglecting the reporters.

However, the reporters didn't get upset at all, for that was how someone of his status should behave.

One reporter asked, "Great Marshal, what do you have to say about the new Great Marshal's claim that you have betrayed Eurasia and pledged allegiance to a foreign land?"

Only then did Zeke stand up and ask solemnly, "Who among you still remembers the oath I made when I took up the position of Great Marshal?"

In response, a young man shouted, "I do! I've watched the replay of your inauguration. You stated that you'd only betray Eurasia when its people are no longer of our race, and the rivers flow red with blood."

Zeke asked, "So, did that happen? Do the rivers flow red with blood?"

"No!" Everyone responded in unison.

Following that, Zeke couldn't be bothered to entertain them and continued playing with Missy.

This statement alone was enough to prove his innocence.

Both the reporters on the scene and the television viewers came to the realization that they had misunderstood the Great Marshal.

Never once did he betray Eurasia throughout the five years of his absence. Instead, he embarked on perilous journeys into dangerous territories, risking his life to rescue tens of thousands of Eurasia's citizens.

Nonetheless, they cursed and berated him as a traitor, a mistake on their part that now brought forth a growing sense of guilt.

A reporter inquired, "Great Marshal, there's one more thing. The new Great Marshal mentioned that you hired a mercenary team to escort your daughter overseas. Unfortunately, during the journey, these mercenaries turned against one another, leading to your daughter's entanglement and her tragic loss at sea. Is she all right?"

Zeke replied, "Ah, you've reminded me. I have something I want to show you."

As he spoke, he played a video clip that clearly showed the new Great Marshal's subordinate, "Mr. Zamora," directing his men to disseminate false information about "the defection of the Great Marshal's daughter."

In the video, "Mr. Zamora" revealed to his subordinates that he had orchestrated the daughter of the Great Marshal's demise through an explosion. He directed them to propagate the narrative that mercenaries, hired by the Great Marshal, were the culprits behind her tragic death.

The crowd was furious!

This is outrageous! The new Great Marshal is treating us like fools, using us as pawns to attack the former Great Marshal! This is unacceptable!

Such an action incited widespread public outrage.

The reputations of the former and current Great Marshals started to shift. The majority of people began to criticize the current Great Marshal.

Some even advocated to restore the reputation of the former Great Marshal.

A procession of protesters encircled the New Great Marshal Palace, demanding that Haydn provide an explanation and voluntarily step down from his position, accepting accountability for his actions.

The Great Marshal Palace was a residence constructed by Haydn himself, a grand edifice in an antique style, boasting a sprawling size. Inside, it featured ten traditional courtyards, each adorned with opulent and majestic decor, rivaling even that of a royal palace.

In the most luxurious room, the new Great Marshal stood before a mirror, admiring the royal robe adorning his form.
