Chapter - 3044

Haydn had become wholly absorbed in his dream of ascending to the throne, utterly oblivious to the dissenting voices coming from the outside world.

One of his subordinates barged in when he was admiring himself in the mirror. "Great Marshal, something bad has happened!"

Haydn glared at his subordinate, clearly displeased. "What's with all the fuss? Calm down before you speak.”

The subordinate took a deep breath and said, "The Great Marshal... no, the former Great Marshal has returned, and... he has taken the lead to crusade against you as soon as he returned... The public is opposing you right now!"

What?

Haydn shuddered, looking at his subordinate in disbelief. "What did you just say? Did I hear you wrong?"

The subordinate quickly shook his head. "You heard me right. The former Great Marshal has returned. He proved his innocence as soon as he returned and turned the situation around. Your supporters have dwindled significantly."

D*mn it!

Haydn clenched his fists tightly, his knuckles audibly cracking.

"Master had once confidently assured me that Zeke would have no chance of survival in that place. How did he not only survive but also thrive? Could Master have made a mistake?" he said incredulously.

The subordinate shook his head. "I'm afraid I'm not sure about that."

Haydn then asked, "I've already tarnished Zeke's reputation. I wonder how he managed to prove his innocence."

The subordinate promptly showed Haydn the video of Mountain TV's press conference.

After watching the video, the infuriated Haydn smashed his phone to pieces, clenching his jaw. "Hmph! This jerk sure has quite a few tricks up his sleeve. But so what if he managed to return alive? He won't be able to survive in the face of absolute power! Immediately release a message to the public in my name. Tell them that all of Zeke's statements are false and that those people he saved from Theos Island are all pawns in his game. Even the incident where his daughter was supposedly killed in an explosion was a farce he orchestrated himself. He didn't just deceive the public; he even fooled me. In ten days, I will confront him at Union Hall for a duel and rid ourselves of him, rendering a service to the public."

The subordinate cautiously asked, "Great Marshal, if I may be so bold, given your current strength, you should be able to easily defeat the enemy, right? Why wait until ten days later? Aren't you worried that complications may arise if you wait longer?"

Haydn replied, “I'm currently at a critical stage in my breakthrough. If I divert my energy to deal with Zeke, I'm concerned it might impede my progress. There's no need to postpone my breakthrough because of him."

What?

The subordinate looked shocked. "Aren't you already in Celestial Class? Celestial Class is the ultimate limit of martial arts. H-How can you still break through? Could there be a realm even more powerful than that of Celestial Class?"

Haydn nodded slightly, "Yes, I can sense that there's a realm even stronger than that of Celestial Class. It's just that people haven't discovered it before. But of course, I can't be certain whether there truly exists a higher realm, as it is unprecedented.”

The subordinate looked at him with admiration. "Great Marshal, if you can break through Celestial Class, you will undoubtedly be the strongest in the world. When the time comes, won't all of humanity be at your beck and call? Congratulations, Great Marshal! You could potentially be the first person to conquer the entire globe."

Despite feeling exceptionally proud, Haydn maintained an air of humility on the surface. "It's still uncertain whether there exists a higher realm or if I'll manage a breakthrough. It's too early to discuss such matters now. Go and carry out your tasks. Don't worry. If I climb to the top, I'll make sure you get the benefits you deserve."

The subordinate quickly nodded, then turned and left.

No sooner had his subordinate left than Haydn heard the sound of wind coming from behind him.

He swiftly turned around, only to be startled by the discovery that three individuals had quietly taken seats behind him without his notice.

To be precise, it was two people accompanied by a fierce tiger.
