Chapter - 3050

Zeke responded, "To be brutally honest, in my eyes, you all are not even comparable to a bunch of tiny ants. I'm offering you a chance now. Kneel and beg for mercy, and confess your dealings with the new Great Marshal. Honesty will be your best policy. Otherwise, I'll make sure all of you face a horrible death."

How arrogant! He must be eliminated!

The village chief's anger flared. “Kill! Kill him right now!"

The villagers rushed forward.

Squirrel glanced at the oncoming villagers and cautiously squeaked, "Chirp, chirp, chirp!"

"Mr. Hayes, should we lend a hand?" asked Squirrel.

Quinlan replied nonchalantly, "No need. They're just a bunch of worthless cr*p. Zeke can easily take care of them all by himself."

"All right. Let's continue our game then."

Unfazed by the villagers' onslaught, Zeke remained indifferent.

It was only when they were almost within arm's reach that Zeke finally unleashed a surge of energy.

An aura enveloped the crowd, pressing down upon their shadows.

In an instant, the crowd froze, unable to move.

With a chilling smile, Zeke inquired, "Now, does anyone have anything else to say?"

The village chief's face turned ashen, his gaze fixed on Zeke. "Young man," he began, "you should know that we serve under the new Great Marshal. If you kill us, you're declaring war on the new Great Marshal. Aren't you afraid of the new Great Marshal?"

Zeke retorted, "To be honest with you, not only am I going to kill you, but I'm also going to take out the new Great Marshal."

"Y-You dare to speak disrespectfully to the new Great Marshal? Do you realize the gravity of your crime?"

Zeke's glare intensified as he focused fiercely on the village chief, abruptly amplifying the energy exerted on the chief's shadow.

Poof!

With a muffled thud, the shadow of the old village chief vanished on the spot, and he himself lay on the ground, having fainted.

"Now, whoever can be completely honest with me, I'll reward them with a swift end," Zeke declared.

Instead of begging for mercy out of fear, the villagers began cursing at Zeke. In response, Zeke sighed in disappointment. "Ah, it seems I've underestimated you all. You're a group of fearless warriors. If that's the case, then I'll grant your wishes."

With those words, Zeke's energy surged. One by one, shadows were crushed and dissipated, and the villagers fell like wheat stalks bending under pressure.

Poof, poof, poof!

Naturally, Zeke didn't kill them all. He spared a few young children.

These youngsters watched as their companions perished one by one. Overwhelmed, they broke down, weeping bitterly as they awaited their impending doom.

However, as time passed and death didn't claim them, they couldn't help but raise their heads.

Zeke was standing right in front of them, a playful smile on his face. "You are young, and you should know how to adapt. Do you choose to endure silently or to find solace in honesty?"

Several young people, teetering on the edge of despair, saw Zeke's offer as a lifeline. They immediately nodded their heads, their agreement resolute.

"W-We confess... Please spare us!"

Zeke's voice was stern as he demanded, "Speak, what is your purpose for coming here?"

One of the shadow people nervously stammered, "T-The new Great Marshal... is a powerful being nurtured by Netherworld. H-He cannot consume the food of the mortal world, he can only eat the unique food of the Netherworld. To ensure the logistical support for the new Great Marshal, we've taken up residence in this village, providing food from the Netherworld to him."

Zeke pressed further, "What is the Netherworld's purpose in appointing a new Great Marshal?"

Fearfully trembling, the shadow person answered, "The goal is... is to annihilate all humans, to transform every single one into Netherworldians. With that, the Netherlands could rule the world."

Challenging their claims, Zeke questioned, "Even if someone from the Netherworld becomes the new Great Marshal, they wouldn't have the power to wipe out all of humanity, right?"

The shadow person's voice quivered. "Of course not. However, Netherworld has dispatched several units, stationed in four directions around Oakheart City. When the time comes, Netherworld's people will first transform the residents of Oakheart City. Once the residents of Oakheart City have turned into Netherworldians, they will join the main forces of Netherworld to occupy the next city. At this rate, it won't take long to turn all of humanity into Netherworldians.
