Chapter - 3079

With Manticore's help then, taking Zeke down would be a piece of cake.

"Sure! We will do our utmost best to lure Zeke here. Your enemy is also ours, Lord Manticore," White Reaper agreed readily.

Haha!

Manticore rolled his eyes at White Reaper in annoyance. "It's more like you guys want to use me to get rid of Zeke, huh? It seems you had some deep-seated grudge against him in the past?"

White Reaper's face flushed bright red in an instant. "You must be joking, Lord Manticore. We have no grudges or grievances with him. Why would we use you to deal with him?"

"Do you really think I can't see through your petty scheme?" Manticore sneered.

White Reaper was dumbfounded.

There's no way Manticore could be so powerful as to understand human thoughts, right? Sure enough, it's unbelievably powerful.

"Get out of here. If you fail to complete the task, you will all die," Manticore uttered indifferently.

"Yes, yes!"

Everyone hurriedly left.

Upon leaving the temple, they finally breathed a sigh of relief.

It felt as though they had been through the jaws of death.

As the leader, White Reaper quickly regained his composure. He asked, "Does anyone have a good idea to lure Zeke here? Not only is he beyond powerful, but we also don't know the true extent of his might. Considering our abilities, we might not be able to defeat him alone. Now that Lord Manticore wants to take him down, this might be our only chance. We must seize it."

Raymond said, “Mr. White Reaper, there's no need for us to go out of our way to attract him. All we need to do is capture a hundred living people each, and he will surely be lured over. Recently, he has been tracking the movements of ancient demonic beasts. If thousands of people suddenly die around here, he will undoubtedly suspect it to be the doing of an ancient demonic beast."

White Reaper nodded. “Indeed, there's truth in your words. Well, then. There's no time to waste. Let's set off right away."

Thus, they all set out.

Mirstone Town was a tranquil and ordinary town on the frontier.

Mirstone Town was rather famous in its vicinity for its coffin-manufacturing business because the residents only used the finest materials to make coffins, which were not prone to decay and had excellent airtightness.

They led a nine-to-five lifestyle, with an extremely high happiness index.

Warren Lynch was an ordinary resident of that small town.

After finishing the day's orders, he was exhausted to the point of dizziness, his limbs sore and aching.

He rose to his feet and stretched for a bit before heading home.

"Daddy! Daddy!" As soon as he arrived home, his two sensible children threw themselves into his arms.

Ah, such obedient boys!

Grinning, Warren picked up the two children, his face split into a wide smile.

The sight of his two children had him feel that his fatigue had been instantly swept away.

"Did you miss me?" Warren asked with a warm smile.

"Yes," the two children replied, their pure and innocent voices melting Warren's heart.

Warren praised, "Good boys. Behave yourselves, and I will earn money for you to get married."

Warren's wife, Riya Saunders, rolled her eyes at him. "Stop talking nonsense. The kids are still so young, yet you're already thinking about them getting married. Watch out, lest they end up worthless like you."

Warren merely chuckled. "What's for dinner tonight, honey?"

"Eat, eat, eat! That's all you know. Would skipping a meal kill you?" Riya huffed.

Laughing heartily, Warren said, "All right, I can already smell it. It's my favorite roasted chicken and pork chop, no? I'm starving. Let's eat. Quick, let's get to it."

Soon, the deliciously fragrant food was served. The family began to enjoy their meal in harmony.

After a hearty meal that replenished his energy, Warren took the kids out for a stroll, buying them some snacks while at it.

Seeing the joyful smiles on his children's faces, he felt an unparalleled sense of contentment and sweetness deep within.

Day after day, he had lived in the same manner for several decades. Yet, he never grew tired of it.

In the stillness of the night, the entire family drifted into dreamland.

The entire town, too, fell into tranquillity.
