Chapter - 3080

Early morning, the melodious sound of a flute suddenly wafted in from the distance.

The music ebbed and flowed between grandeur and melancholy, its melody so breathtaking that it left the listener utterly intoxicated.

A woman and child, deep in their slumber, slept more soundly upon hearing the music.

As for the man, he was awakened by the sound of the flute.

They groggily crawled out of bed, looking around in a daze. Their minds were simply blank, rendering them incapable of independent thought.

At that moment, they have only one thought in their minds-follow the sound of the flute.

It seemed like a command, one they could not resist.

Warren was also captivated by the enchanting power of the music.

He rose mechanically, moved forward, stepped out of the room, exited the main door, and arrived at the main street.

Upon reaching the main street, he realized that he was not alone. Almost all the men in the small town were moving about like zombies, just like him.

Deep down, Warren sensed something was amiss and wanted to resist the command in his mind.

However, just as he was about to do so, the volume of the music suddenly increased, instantly suppressing his intention to resist.

With that, he continued to march forward with everyone else.

In the end, the group arrived at the edge of the small town.

There, an ominous aura lingered. A fog covered the entire area, obscuring the view ahead.

The sound of the flute was indeed coming from within the mist.

If one were to look closely, one would find a man hidden in the mist, dressed in white and passionately playing the flute.

That man was none other than White Reaper.

White Reaper led the vast procession forward, swiftly arriving at the desolate temple in the wilderness.

"Lord Manticore, the men have been brought forth. Please, enjoy their absorbing their positive energy," White Reaper respectfully said.

Manticore emerged from the temple.

He surveyed the crowd, then smiled in satisfaction. "Not bad, not bad at all. Very good indeed."

He opened his mouth wide and sucked in the crowd's direction.

In an instant, all the positive energy was drained from the men.

Without their positive energy, everyone fell to the ground, breathless.

Manticore said, "Keep bringing more people, these are not enough."

White Reaper nodded. "Understood, I'll go find them right away."

Manticore added, "Hold on, bring these bodies back."

"Why?" White Reaper asked, puzzled.

Manticore explained, “I've marked them. If Zeke comes looking, he'll find me through the marks on them. Hmph, I'm definitely going to kill that bb*stard."

White Reaper replied, "Understood, understood!"

Following the instructions of Manticore, White Reaper transported the bodies back.

A rooster's crow shattered the tranquility of the small town.

The residents gradually awaken.

Riya first glanced at the two children, who were soundly asleep.

She gently caressed the faces of her two children affectionately, then got up to prepare breakfast.

She didn't find it odd that Warren wasn't around.

Warren often got up to work around three or four in the morning.

Riya came into the courtyard to freshen up. However, while she was washing up, she noticed that the lid of a coffin nearby had been opened.

The interior of the coffin had just been worked on, so the lid could not be left open. Otherwise, it would be exposed to the air and oxidized, affecting its quality.

So, she went to close the coffin lid.

Upon arriving at the coffin, she was astonished to find Warren lying inside.

Riya suddenly felt a chill run down her spine, causing goosebumps to rise all over her body.

The scene stirred up an ominous feeling in her heart.

She mustered up the courage and patted Warren's cheek. "Hey, hey, hey, Warren, why the hell are you sleeping in a coffin? Wake up, for God's sake, wake up."

However, Warren gave no response.

Riya's heart began to pound wildly, growing anxious, "Warren, I need you to wake up. What are you doing? Did you hear what I said?"

A deathly silence was all she got in response.

Riya felt a tingling sensation in her scalp, realizing that the situation might be worse than she thought.

Riya checked his breathing.

Ah!
