Chapter - 3081

She let out a heart-wrenching scream, collapsing on the spot.

The same agonizing screams echoed through the courtyards of the nearby houses, accompanied by the noisy cries of children.

Women and children rushed onto the streets seeking help.

"My husband has died. Quick, call the police!”

"Mine also mysteriously ended up dead in a coffin."

"Oh my, my husband has passed away, leaving us a widow and an orphan. How are we supposed to live?”

The village descended into complete chaos.

The police immediately learned of the incident due to its massive scale.

However, with the death toll from this incident exceeding ten thousand, even the police dared not get involved.

Instead, they reported the matter directly to their superiors.

Before long, the news reached Zeke's ears.

Upon hearing the news, Zeke's heart sank abruptly.

A strong hunch told him that the large-scale deaths were undoubtedly related to the ancient demonic beast.

I acted too late this time. Ancient demonic beast, you shall be vanquished!

"Master, I have something to report.” In the dead of night, a ghostly figure leaped out from the shadows, kneeling before Zeke.

It was none other than Eighteen of Nightingale Squad, Killer Wolf's father.

Zeke solemnly said, "Speak."

Eighteen reported, "We've found traces of Netherworld near Mirstone Town, the very place where the mass death occurred."

Huh?

Zeke furrowed his brows. "Is this a mere coincidence, or is the mass death the work of Netherworld, instead of an ancient demonic beast? No matter who the culprit is, I will make them pay a price that's a hundredfold what they have done! Let's go. We're heading to Mirstone Town!"

With that, the group set off in high spirits toward Mirstone Town.

They traveled as fast as they could, finally reaching their destination before evening fell.

The once peaceful and quiet border town was now filled with heartbreaking cries, a scene of utter desolation.

Hundreds of coffins were laid out on the main street, with a large crowd wailing in heart-wrenching sorrow.

Most of these were young women and children and not a single adult male was in sight.

All grown men were lying in coffins.

Zeke walked toward the crowd with heavy footsteps.

Local police were on the scene to maintain order. As soon as they spotted Zeke and others approaching, the officers immediately stepped forward to stop them. "Halt, who are you? You're not allowed to come any closer."

Sole Wolf immediately flashed his General North golden badge. "From this moment on, we're taking over. Gather your men and leave immediately.”

The police officer frowned, hesitating as he looked at the golden badge.

He didn't recognize the golden badge, or more accurately, he wasn't high-ranking enough to recognize it.

Nevertheless, the confidence Sole Wolf exuded led him to guess that they were certainly an important group.

After some contemplation, the police officer decided to check first.

He said, "Please wait a moment. I need to make a call and consult with my superior."

With no time to waste with them, Zeke strode directly toward the coffin.

The police officer instinctively tried to stop him, but a glare from Sole Wolf instantly sent a shiver down his spine.

The police officer suddenly felt that his life was threatened. As the powerful aura intimidated him, he didn't dare to make any attempt to stop them. All he could do was helplessly watch as Zeke and his group walked up to the coffin.

After what felt like an eternity, the police officer finally snapped back to reality, only to realize that his back was soaked in cold sweat. It was as if he had just escaped the jaws of death.

Who on earth is this person, to have such a powerful aura?

The police officer pulled out a cigarette with his trembling hands and lit it, trying to calm his nerves. Then, he dialed the police chief's number.

"Sir, there's been an incident. Someone has barged in without permission. They flashed a golden badge at me. There was a shiny golden wolf, engraved on it-"

"What? General North! He... He is the esteemed General North-Sole Wolf!"

"Master Sole Wolf didn't come alone. He was accompanying a prominent figure, someone I don't recognize.”
