Chapter - 3105

Zeke smoothly changed the topic, saying, "Haha. By the way, Mr. President, I'd like to take a day off today to spend some quality time with my family. After all... this journey could very well be a one-way trip."”

The president responded, "Approved. You should indeed spend more time with your child."

After a brief pause, he continued, "Of course, if you have any second thoughts now, there's still time."

Zeke offered a faint smile, "One thing I'll never regret in my life is taking on the role of Great Marshal and carrying the grand responsibility of safeguarding Eurasia.”

The president chuckled. "Ah, in our time, you would've been called a complete fool. But go on, go on. I've prepared the national flag for you. Return alive, and the flag will rise high in honor. If you don't make it... the flag will drape over your body."

Zeke nodded resolutely, saying, "Understood!"

Meanwhile, Missy had been living with Hannah and Daniel.

Anita and Diego were usually occupied with work at the Linton Group, leaving them with limited time to spend with Missy.

At this moment, Missy was engrossed in practicing a military punching style.

This military punching style had been taught to her by her master, Tyler.

Despite her young age, Missy had already mastered the art to an exceptional level, easily outmatching even an average adult martial artist.

Missy exhibited remarkable stamina, having trained intensely for two hours straight. Hannah and Daniel had repeatedly implored. her to take a break, but she remained relentless.

This situation left Hannah and Daniel deeply concerned.

The two of them couldn't help but blame Zeke, with Hannah saying, “Honestly, what was Zeke thinking? Why did he allow Missy to learn martial arts?"

Daniel chimed in, "Indeed, Missy is a girl. She should be learning more delicate pursuits like painting or dancing."

"Missy, stop practicing. You don't need to be afraid of your father. If he dares to criticize you, Grandma will stand up for you."

"Exactly, Missy. Grandpa will support you too. If your dad dares to say anything negative, I'll give him a piece of my mind."

Missy remained unyielding, clenching her teeth with determination. “Grandma, Grandpa, this has nothing to do with Dad. It's my decision to learn martial arts. When I grow up, I want to be like my dad, a true hero. I'll help good people and punish the wicked.”

Hannah began, "Missy, tell me, did your dad put you up to saying this?"

Daniel added, "Indeed, such profound words from a child are quite unusual."

With unwavering determination, Missy replied, “Grandma, you don't need to ask anymore. I genuinely want to learn martial arts on my own."

Unbeknownst to Missy, Zeke was eavesdropping on their conversation outside the door. His laughter held a touch of bitterness.

Missy was right; her desire to learn martial arts was entirely her own.

In reality, Zeke had been hesitant to let her train, fearing for her safety. However, as the saying goes, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." Missy displayed the same courage Zeke had in his youth, and he found himself unable to dissuade her.

Zeke knocked on the door.

"Come in," Hannah said. "The door isn't locked."

Zeke entered the room, and upon seeing him, Hannah subtly signaled to Daniel.

The latter instantly understood her intentions and said to Zeke, "Zeke, do you have any cigarettes? I've run out of mine."

Daniel decided to talk privately with Zeke under the guise of having a smoke break. Conveniently, Zeke refrained from smoking while on duty, so he had no cigarettes with him.

He shook his head, saying, "Sorry, Dad, I don't usually carry cigarettes while I'm working."

Daniel felt somewhat awkward, but he quickly recovered, reaching into his pocket and retrieving a pack of Yellow Crane Tower cigarettes. "Well, look at that, I bought these cigarettes this morning, and by the afternoon, I've already forgotten about them. Come on, Zeke, let's step out to the balcony for a smoke."

Zeke promptly responded, “Dad, I think I'll pass. Lacey wants me to quit smoking..."

Daniel, however, dismissed his concern, saying, "No need to worry, I can quit smoking tomorrow. Let's just have this one on the balcony, so we don't bother the little one."

Zeke had little choice but to accompany Daniel to the balcony, where they began to puff out plumes of smoke into the open air.
