Chapter - 3131

Zeke simply replied, "Very well."

At this moment, Francine couldn't help but feel a rush of nerves and indecision. He agreed so quickly. Is he being genuine, or is this some kind of ruse? Could he possibly be working with Sloan and trying to stall for time?

As she contemplated these thoughts, several vehicles from the inspection department suddenly pulled up outside the window.

Nearly twenty fully armed inspection police officers, armed with long spears, disembarked and entered the establishment with an imposing presence.

Fergus' men had arrived. Francine realized that she might not be able to leave now, and her only hope rested on the stranger before her.

I hope this guy doesn't drop the ball.

The inspection police officers swiftly surrounded Zeke and Francine as they entered.

The chief inspector glanced at Zeke and sternly said, "All unrelated individuals must leave immediately or face consequences."

However, Zeke chose to ignore the chief's order.

The chief inspector sneered, "Good, I enjoy dealing with stubborn individuals like you. Someone, apprehend both of them."

"Hold on!" Francine quickly stood up and protested, "On what grounds are you arresting me?"

"On what grounds? You've been involved in a brawl, disturbing public order, and endangering public safety. Does that suffice?" the chief inspector retorted.

Francine argued, "They were the ones who provoked me first. My brother stepped in to defend me when he saw them attacking."

Fearing that Zeke would distance himself from her, Francine decided to intertwine their fates.

Meanwhile, Zeke remained silent.

What did you just call me? You claimed I was your boyfriend, and now I'm your brother, huh?

"Is that so? Then please cooperate and come with us to provide a written statement," the chief inspector demanded. "Someone, apprehend them."

Nervous sweat dripped from Francine's forehead as she glanced at Zeke. "Zeke, they want to take us to the Tiger's Cave. Once we're in, we might never get out. What should we do?"

Zeke finally spoke. "Sit down."

Francine took a deep breath, her voice trembling. “Zeke, please, say something. What should we do..."

Zeke reiterated, "I told you, sit down."

I...

Francine's eyes welled up with frustration and helplessness. "This is a critical moment. They're about to arrest us, and you're just sitting there, completely indifferent."

In her view, this man had been deceiving her all along.

Darn it! He's screwed me over. What should I do now? Alas, I think I have to reap what I sow.

With a resolute posture, Francine reluctantly returned to her seat.

The chief inspector questioned, “It appears you both are not willing to cooperate voluntarily, is that correct? Officers, apprehend them!”

Upon the chief's orders, the officers advanced toward Zeke.

Francine's heart raced as she braced herself against the table. She was prepared to escape as soon as this enigmatic man showed any sign of resistance.

However, what unfolded next was nothing short of astonishing.

As the officers closed in on Zeke, a sudden gust of wind erupted from him, forcefully propelling the entire group backward. They collided with the wall, causing it to crack and crumble from the sheer impact.

D*mn, that's intense! How on earth did he manage to do it?

Francine gasped in sheer amazement. This man was undoubtedly extraordinary.

Even the chief inspector was taken aback and began to retreat rapidly. He realized the vast chasm in strength between himself and this man.

Unable to confront him directly, the chief inspector attempted to make a hasty escape.

Yet, before he could take a single step, Zeke nonchalantly hurled a fork that precisely impaled the man's thigh.

"Argh!"

A spine-chilling scream erupted from the chief inspector as he collapsed to the ground.

With a cold, unyielding gaze, Zeke addressed the inspection police officers, “Go back and inform your boss. If he wishes to prevent any further trouble for your chief, he should come see me in person."

One of the scar-faced inspection officers seethed, "You're done for, you b*stard! Do you even know who we are? Daring to harm our chief, I assure you-Ah!"
