Chapter - 3157

"Yuvan, have you lost your d*mn mind? I can't believe you'd do something like this!"

"Run, run as far as you can, and make sure the boss doesn't find you. He won't let you off the hook."

"The supervisor knows the local bigwig. If you get bitten by the bigwig, you won't survive."

"Run, what are you standing there for!"

Yuvan, however, didn't run. He just stared coldly at the supervisor and said, "This is all on me. It has nothing to do with anyone else. Come to me if you want to settle the score.”

"If I find out you've hurt my friend, I swear I'll burn your company to the ground.”

Having said that, Yuvan swaggered off.

"Francine, let's go. Let's head home," Yuvan said to Francine.

Francine laughed. "That's my macho brother."

Yuvan's smile was bitter. "Ah, it's all my fault for being powerless. I can't even protect my own sister, and I might even bring disaster upon you."

Francine smiled gently. "Don't worry, Yuvan. I'm counting on you to protect me in the future."

Yuvan gave another bitter smile, then turned to Zeke and asked, "By the way, who is he? He's with you, isn't he?"

Francine said, "He is a friend of mine."

Oh?

Yuvan looked Zeke up and down, gave a hearty laugh, but didn't say anything.

However, Zeke detected a hint of something unusual in his smile.

If I'm not mistaken, Yuvan seems to have misunderstood me as Francine's boyfriend.

The three of them quickly returned home.

Yuvan's family was extremely poor, their home was even made of mud walls. More than half of the courtyard wall had collapsed, and the door was missing half of its panels.

Even from this distance, Zeke could faintly smell the mustiness and dampness emanating from the small, low-lying house.

Upon seeing such living conditions, Francine's eyes instantly turned red.

"Yuvan, I'm sorry... I... I didn't pay enough attention to you before."

Yuvan said, “Francine, I should be the one apologizing. You don't need to blame yourself at all. As long as you're doing well, even the hardship I endure feels sweet to me."

Suddenly, a woman's moan and flirtatious voice echoed in the room, "Leroy, hurry up... I... I can't hold on much longer."

"Whoo, hurry, speed up!"

Yuvan's face instantly turned pitch black, his fist clenching subconsciously.

Francine said in disbelief, "Yuvan, is that... your wife?"

Yuvan nodded slightly. "That's Olga."

"Let's go."

Even though Yuvan seemed indifferent on the surface, Zeke could tell that he still harbored some resentment, feeling uncomfortable.

Zeke was somewhat speechless. He knew that Yuvan was not doing well, but he didn't expect it to be this bad. In broad daylight, his own wife was having an affair right under his nose, and it seemed she wasn't worried about Yuvan finding out at all.

Clearly, he has no place in this family.

Yuvan's clenched fists slowly relaxed. "Never mind. It's not worth arguing with her."

"To tell you the truth, our marriage is in name only. I've never touched her, nor have I ever considered her my wife. I treat her more like a roommate, so she's free to do whatever she pleases."

Francine also comforted him, “Yuvan, you did the right thing. She's not worthy to be your wife, let alone my sister-in-law. Her presence is the greatest insult to you."

Yuvan led the two into the courtyard.

No one could possibly accept such a thing with a clear conscience.

Reaching the door, Yuvan cleared his throat loudly and announced, "I'm back."

The room fell silent immediately, followed by the rustling sounds of clothing being put on.

Before long, a man and a woman came running out of the room in a fluster.

A sun-tanned, rough-looking farm woman, and a skinny old farmer.

The two were disheveled, their clothes in disarray. The old farmer was even holding up his trousers, a picture of utter embarrassment.

The two showed no signs of fear or guilt even when they were caught in the act.

In fact, they got upset because they were disturbed.
