Chapter - 3171

Blade led them through the lush garden area, eventually reaching the burial site.

That area was vast, as large as two football fields, and it was filled with tombs of all sizes.

Everyone buried there was once a member of the Xenos family.

From that, it was evident that the Xenos family had a long history, a profound heritage, and a thriving population.

Blade said softly, "The Holy Place is right beneath this graveyard. Someone is guarding the cemetery entrance. You two try to keep quiet as much as possible later. Follow my lead to avoid being discovered by the gatekeeper."

Zeke nodded. "Lead the way. Let's go."

Blade, Zeke, and Sole Wolf walked toward the small pavilion of the tomb watcher.

Inside the small pavilion, there was an elderly man with both his hair and beard turned white.

However, his mental state was still quite good, his eyes wide open.

Blade stepped forward, casually tossing a pack of Marlboro cigarettes to the elderly man. "Pal, you've worked hard," he said.

The old man didn't stand on ceremony. He directly opened the package and lit up a Marlboro cigarette. "Young man, you're a bit late today," he said.

Blade replied, “I got held up on the road for a bit."

The elderly man said, “I've accepted your gift. However, we still need to confirm your identities. Guys, please remove your veils."

People from the Netherlands were always dressed. in stealth suits, their faces veiled in black, their features indiscernible.

As Blade grumbled, he removed his black veil. "Gosh! Such a nag. Old geezer, you can't possibly distrust me too, can you?"

"All right. All right. I won't put you in a tough spot. Hurry up and prove your identity. Don't waste time in the Holy Place. You're already running a bit late. If we spend any more time here, we might as well forget about going into the Holy Place."

Zeke and Sole Wolf also followed Blade's lead and removed their veils.

However, after briefly showing their faces to the other person, they quickly put their veils back on.

What they could mimic was merely a resemblance, not a replica.

If someone was familiar with Webster and Woody, they could still distinguish them if they looked closely.

Fortunately, under the constant chatter of Blade, the elderly man didn't have the mood to thoroughly verify their identities.

He merely glanced at Zeke and Sole Wolf, then let them pass.

Blade, together with Zeke and Sole Wolf, ventured deep into the cemetery, finally stopping in front of an extraordinarily ordinary tomb that was neither too big nor too small.

Blade said, "This is the entrance to the Holy Place. We need to move the gravestone first."

Blade half-squatted, embracing the gravestone, and slowly moved it to one side.

Sure enough, there was a small passage under the gravestone, just big enough for one person to squeeze through sideways.

Blade took the lead, with Zeke and Sole Wolf closely following behind, and they plunged in.

Below was a sloping passageway, much more spacious, allowing one to walk upright.

After walking more than twenty meters down the passage, they finally reached the end.

At the end, there was a thick, sturdy stone door with guards standing on either side.

The guards were shrouded in an extremely dense negative energy, nearly a thousand. times more potent than that surrounding Blade.

The two stared blankly, motionless, devoid of any vital energy, like two piles of human flesh.

They had been corroded by the negative energy for so long that they'd lost even the last bit of their spiritual intelligence, completely turning into specters.

Blade approached the two individuals, presenting his negative energy for their inspection.

After the two "guards" had checked, they allowed Blade to pass.

Up next were Zeke and Sole Wolf.

The inspection process for those two individuals went very smoothly.

In the end, they successfully made their way into the heart of the Holy Place.

The space inside was vast, incredibly spacious, much like a grand and enormous palace.

However, the palace was eerily quiet, with red candles and lanterns lit all around, filling the air with a foul stench. In the center was a large blood pool, its contents churning ominously.

There were even decaying corpses around.

A large group of Netherworldians, who looked like Blade, were soaking in the blood pool, their faces displaying expressions of enjoyment.

They were so engrossed in their enjoyment that they turned a blind eye to the arrival of Blade, Zeke, and Sole Wolf.

Zeke clearly noticed that the negative energy of the people soaking in the blood pool was gradually increasing. If I'm not mistaken, this blood pool should be the tool used by Netherworld to convert humans into Netherworldians. The decaying corpses scattered around must be the failed products of an unsuccessful transformation.
