Great Marshal/

Chapter - 3177

Chapter - 3177

The oversight advisor seemed reluctant on the surface, but inside, he was overjoyed. "Well, thanks to your kindness. I won't stand during the ceremony."

As he spoke, the oversight advisor rose shakily to his feet and made his way to the seat next to the president, where he settled down.

No sooner had he sat down than the chair beneath him suddenly moved back two steps. The oversight advisor fell flat on his backside, letting out a cry of pain.

"Ouch!"

What? Everyone was instantly startled and jumped up. Did Mr. Advisor just fall flat on his backside? Given his old age and frailty, what if the fall leads to some serious injury? What then?

Everyone hurried forward to help the oversight advisor.

"Mr. Advisor, are you all right?"

"Mr. Advisor, would you like me to take you to the hospital for a check-up now?"

The oversight advisor waved his hand, his face darkened. "What exactly happened just now? Who moved the chair?”

Everyone instinctively looked toward the president.

Only the president was closest to the chair and most likely to have moved it.

The president shook his head. "Would I ever play such a prank, toying with Mr. Advisor?"

Indeed, he was a dignified sovereign, calm and authoritative. He couldn't have possibly engaged in such pranks.

If it was not the president, everyone wondered who could've done that.

Right then, a heavy set of footsteps could be heard from outside the door, rapidly approaching.

Everyone's gaze immediately focused on the door.

Upon recognizing the newcomer, everyone immediately realized that this person could very well be the main culprit behind all the trouble. Great Marshal! As is widely known, Great Marshal possesses immense power and is capable of moving objects through the air. He can move the chair across the room without touching it. Moreover, rumors say that Mr. Advisor and Great

Marshal had some minor disagreements in the past.

"Great Marshal, was it you who just moved the chair?" In an attempt to curry favor with the oversight advisor, the state secretary was the first to question Zeke.

Zeke responded indifferently, "That's my seat. How could I let someone else take it? Taking my seat is akin to insulting me. I've given him a minor punishment. Let's not have a repeat of this."

In fact, Zeke was feeling helpless because it wasn't him who moved the chair moments earlier. It was the president.

The president had long been displeased with the oversight advisor's arrogance and exploitation of his seniority. However, the president couldn't openly criticize him, so he could only resort to subtle tricks to mock him.

Afterward, he shifted all the blame onto Zeke.

In the president's mind, he thought Zeke wouldn't mind another enemy or two, considering his reputation.

Zeke had no choice but to grit his teeth and endure it in silence.

Zeke's words stirred up a wave of anger, and everyone began to criticize him vehemently.

"Great Marshal, you've really gone too far. This is outrageous!"

"Mr. Advisor is on par with you in status. There's nothing wrong if he takes your seat."

"Mr. Advisor is still your elder. If you can't even show the most basic respect to your elders, how are you worthy of being Great Marshal?"

"Ugh! Great Marshal is all hype and no substance!"

Zeke walked straight to his seat and sat down. "Who told you that you were on par with me? Aside from the president, no one can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with me in this world."

What? How arrogant! He thinks he's above everyone else! The older generation of warriors were infuriated, their verbal attacks becoming even more intense.

Zeke couldn't be bothered with them anymore. He directly addressed the president, "Mr. President, why have you summoned me?"

The president said, "Let's discuss the matter of the next prime minister."

The more Zeke ignored them, the angrier the oversight advisor and the others became.

They had no choice but to ask the president for a decision.

"Mr. President, our young and reckless Great Marshal is full of himself due to his achievements and shows no respect for his seniors. We need you to intervene on our behalf."

The president sighed, saying, "Oh. Great Marshal, I must say that what you've done is indeed excessive. You shouldn't bully them. They're all heroes of Eurasia!"

Zeke chuckled. "Well, I suppose I should apologize to them, then."

The oversight advisor said, "Do you think an apology is enough? If that's the case, what's the need for laws? Mr. President, you must grant us justice.”
