Chapter - 3212

“I've heard that every member of the Gods possesses a unique talent. I wonder what your special ability is and if it could be of any help to us. If you prove useful to us, we will provide you with the necessary resources," Tanner said.

"That's right," the girl chimed in.

After a brief moment of thought, Zeke said, "My special talent is that I'm a great cook."

Everyone was speechless.

"Hahaha!"

"Did I hear that right? He's one of the Gods, but he's only good at cooking!"

"Some people can summon lightning, others can turn objects into gold, and at the very least, some can condense water to solve pressing problems."

"Yet, this guy's innate skill is actually cooking. He must be what they call a glutton!"

That was a moment when Zeke could hardly resist the urge to slaughter those people on the spot.

Once she had her fill of laughter, the girl said, "Of course, being a good cook isn't without its merits. Now, let me put you to the test. Cook this rabbit for us to eat. If we're satisfied, we'll keep you around."

As she spoke, the girl tossed a rabbit to Zeke.

Zeke glanced over and found, to his surprise, that the rabbit had been bitten to death. There were even a few wounds on its body that looked like they were torn by human teeth.

That left Zeke utterly astonished, wondering if all the people from Kush Clan could be so barbaric.

Zeke ignited a fire right where he was, singeing the fur off the rabbit. He then scraped the skin clean with a dagger, wrapped it in a banana leaf, covered it in mud, and placed it under the soil to roast over a large fire.

That series of actions left those people staring in disbelief.

"Why are you covering the rabbit in mud? Do you eat dirt?"

"Why roast it over a fire? Wouldn't that cause the blood to evaporate?"

"If you cook the rabbit meat like this, it will become tough and lose its freshness. How can we eat it then?"

The people in the group were angered and began to condemn Zeke. They also attempted to pull the rabbit out from under the fire.

Zeke quickly said, "It'll be ready soon. Please wait a moment. If the taste isn't to your liking, I'll go catch a couple more for you."

The girl hesitated for a moment, then finally snorted coldly. "Hmph! I'll give you one chance."

In less than ten minutes, the tantalizing aroma of grilled meat began to waft through the air.

Even though the roasted rabbit was wrapped in clay and buried underground, they could still smell the tantalizing aroma of the roasted rabbit.

Those few people from Kush Clan gazed at the spot where the rabbit was being roasted, their mouths watering in anticipation.

"Could this be the smell of roasted rabbit?"

"Wonderful! This is beyond words."

"Can we eat now? I'm really curious to taste this rabbit that's been roasted over a big fire."

"It seems this fellow, one of the Gods, isn't as foolish as we thought. At least he's ahead of us in culinary skills."

With that, the group was about to pull out the roasted rabbit.

Zeke quickly stopped them. "Everyone, stop! Please, stop immediately."

They looked impatiently at Zeke. "What's the matter?"

Zeke said, "The roasted rabbit isn't ready yet. It won't taste good. Let's wait a little longer until the flavor reaches its peak, then we can enjoy it."

The group exchanged glances, and although they were somewhat at their wits' end, they still managed to hold it together.

Zeke started a casual conversation with them. "How do you folks from Kush Clan usually cook?"

Tanner said, "For rabbits, we usually eat them raw. Occasionally, we might boil them a bit."

Zeke asked, "Oh... Does it taste better raw, or is it better when boiled?"

Tanner answered, "The taste is better when it's boiled in water."

Zeke asked, "Then why don't you cook your ingredients with water instead of eating them raw?"

Tanner said, "Nonsense! Isn't water a resource? Apart from our elder, who frequently wastes water by boiling things, most of us basically eat raw food. All that matters is having a full stomach."

Zeke was astounded. The backwardness of Kush Clan surpassed my imagination. I never expected that they were still living in such a barbaric era.
