Chapter - 3257

The refined scholar approached Zeke with a smile. "Tell me, Zeke. Would you prefer to hand over the legacy of Eurasia Sword willingly, or should I take it from you by force? Surrender the legacy of Eurasia Sword willingly, and I may spare your life. Otherwise, you'll embark on a journey of pain."

I refuse to accept this outcome! Zeke's gaze once again fell on the entrance of the ancient archaeological site.

The death spirit at the entrance was his only chance for survival.

It was time for his final trump card.

With every ounce of strength he had, he painstakingly moved step by step toward the ancient archaeological site. Hopefully, there's still time.

The refined scholar stared at Zeke's peculiar behavior, taken aback.

"Brat, do you want to enter the ancient archaeological site this badly? You've just tried and failed. You have no chance of getting in. Why are you still trying now? You should know many Eternal Class warriors have attempted to enter it in the past, but all have ended in failure. You stand no chance. Tell me, what is your goal?"

Zeke glanced at the refined scholar, smiled. mysteriously, and ignored him. Then, he focused all his energy on approaching the ancient archaeological site.

D*mn it! The refined scholar was enraged. He rushed forward and grabbed Zeke by the collar. "Tell me, what is your true intention? There must be something valuable in these ancient archaeological sites, right? Can you tell me what it is?"

Zeke gritted his teeth. "There's nothing. I'm just trying my luck. Who knows, I may just get lucky like I did on Theo and inherit some legacy."

The refined scholar seemed somewhat frantic. "No, you must be heading toward something. Hurry up and tell me what you are really after!"

Zeke feigned mystery, teasing, "Want to know?"

"Please tell me quickly."

"Well, I won't."

"You're courting death!" The refined scholar could no longer maintain his composure, grabbing Zeke by the collar. "I'm giving you one last chance. If you refuse to cooperate, I'll have no choice but to grant your wish of courting death."

Zeke felt somewhat melancholy. If there really is some treasure, of course, I'll tell you to save my life. However, I doubt you'll consider death spirits as treasure.

Just when Zeke was at a loss, a passage suddenly opened in the space behind the refined scholar. Then, a squirrel poked its head out of the passage and bit the scholar's buttocks with its sharp teeth.

The refined scholar shouted in pain and disregarded Zeke, hastily abandoning the latter and fleeing to save his own life.

After his butt was bitten by the small squirrel, it continuously leaked demonic energy.

The refined scholar covered his buttocks with both hands, slowly channeling his energy to heal, his face twisted in pain.

That wretched scene of him was a stark contrast with his refined scholar image. It was hilarious.

At last, Zeke released a sigh of relief.

"Squirrel, why are you alone? Where are the others?" Zeke quickly asked.

That little squirrel was none other than the one that was always with Quinlan.

Squirrel began to squeak strangely.

Squeak, squeak, squeak.

"We heard you were in trouble nearby, so we rushed to your aid. I bit open a spatial passage and got here first, the others are still on their way," said Squirrel. "I didn't expect the portal to open right here, allowing me to save your life."

Zeke laughed and patted Squirrel on its head. Yeah, I really lucked out this time. Otherwise, I might've been done for While Squirrel's teeth were sharp enough to bite open a spatial passage, it couldn't control the direction or location of the passage.

The exit it created at that time was conveniently located right behind the refined scholar's backside, which was truly a blessing from heaven.

The refined scholar had almost finished his recovery.

With a face full of anger and surprise, he stared at Squirrel. "To think the Sky Gnawers still live! I thought they had been extinguished, but it seems one still survived."
