Chapter - 3331

"Zeke, you're far too arrogant. Octantis sympathizes with you, which is why he sent me here to deliver some items to you, as a token of gratitude for saving us all," said Michael.

"Hmm?" Zeke was taken aback. When did Octantis become so kind-hearted?

In Zeke's heart, Octantis was nothing more than an arrogant and hypocritical fellow. He actually had someone deliver their things to me. He surely has ulterior motives.

"So, you mentioned that Octantis has something for me. Hand it over," Zeke said, extending his hand without any hesitation.

"Heh." A look of disdain appeared on Michael's face as he smirked. "Aren't you going to thank Octantis first before accepting his gifts?"

"Are you sick?" Zeke frowned. "Whether you give it or not, I don't want it anyway."

As he spoke, Zeke shifted his steps, preparing to continue on his journey.

That left Michael completely dumbfounded. "Zeke, are you that ungrateful?"

He drew the golden longsword from his waist, unleashing a powerful aura that bore down on Zeke.

However, Zeke was no pushover. He merely scoffed lightly, releasing a pressure that was no less intense than his opponent's.

In an instant, the atmosphere became tense.

It seemed as though the two were on the verge of a major confrontation.

Taking several deep breaths, Michael, with a grim expression, sheathed his long sword.

At that moment, he was no longer as arrogant as before. His tone had also become somewhat gentler.

"Zeke, I was indeed reckless. I hope for your understanding!" His initiative to apologize not only failed to please Zeke, but instead, it only increased his inner doubts.

Logically speaking, those people were all prideful and arrogant. How could they suddenly change their attitude?

They must either need something from me, or they are trying to harm me. Zeke was no fool.

He wouldn't be so naive as to believe something nice would happen out of nowhere.

Just as he was thinking, he saw Michael pull out a compass, which exuded an ancient aura.

“This thing…...” Zeke's eyelid twitches.

The aura emanating from this object was unmistakably genuine, clearly indicating that it was a precious magical object. Could it be that Octantis is gifting this to him?

Just as Zeke was pondering that, Michael tossed the compass over to him through the air. "Zeke, this is a gift from Octantis for saving us all. It's only right for him to show his gratitude. However, he was worried that the ferocious Cloud Tiger might have left some tracking mark inside you, and he had no choice but to drive you out. I hope you understand."

“Understand?” Zeke scoffed dismissively.

It was clearly because of Vela, and yet they claimed it was for everyone's sake. That's just utter nonsense.

However, Zeke didn't explicitly express it. After all, he didn't really care.

Having left the group, it was easier to seek opportunities without anything or anyone to hinder progress.

"How should I use this?" Zeke asked, after taking the compass and ensuring it was safe.

Seeing that Zeke seemed to have understood, Michael softened his expression considerably, and he began to explain patiently. "This is the navigation compass for seeking magical objects. If you follow the direction indicated by the compass, you will be able to discover these treasures. This is the most precious magical tool of Octantis, and he is willing to give it to you."

A sense of heaviness settled in Zeke's heart. yet his face revealed an excited smile. His breathing slowed, missing half a beat, and his entire demeanor radiated immense excitement.

"Octantis is so generous?"

"Hmph, of course." Michael arrogantly looked down at Zeke. "You spoke ill of Octantis before. Seize the opportunity to apologize when you can."

"Absolutely!" Zeke nodded repeatedly, carefully stowing away the compass. He rubbed his hands together, his face full of smiles. "Michael, don't take to heart what I said before. I didn't mean to mock you."

Upon hearing that, Michael let out a cold snort.

"I didn't mind either. We are all a family going through thick and thin together. If there's a chance in the future, we'll share it together. Zeke, there's no need for formalities. I'll take my leave now!" Having said that, Michael swiftly turned his head and flew away from the place.

After he left, the smile on Zeke's face vanished in an instant, replaced by an unparalleled seriousness.
