Chapter - 3386

"Anvindr, you must have heard of Quincey, your fellow disciple. Why didn't you speak up just now and have a word with him?" Zeke asked.

In reality, his refusal to cooperate was also related to Anvindr's noncommittal stance.

If it had been Anvindr who asked, considering their close relationship, Zeke would have likely agreed.

Upon hearing that, Anvindr frowned. "Zeke, I don't know Quincey very well. He's the son of an elder, a direct descendant of our sect. He's skilled in many formations and knows a fair share of unconventional techniques. I can't even begin to measure how much weaker I am compared to him. There's more. The rumors suggested he had mastered the art of formation cultivation. We, not being overly cautious, could potentially fall into his trap and be annihilated. His formation skills are beyond imagination."

His words caused everyone's expressions to tense up.

Everyone had witnessed Anvindr's formation tactics, and they could tell it was extremely terrifying.

In the battles between cultivators, every second was fiercely contested.

With just a slight lapse of attention, one could get hurt, or even worse, perish.

Hence, no one dared to underestimate the few seconds of illusion caused by the enemy.

Those demonic cultivators were only able to be slain so swiftly and cleanly because they had been entranced for a brief moment.

If Quincey had wanted to trap and kill Zeke and his companions, it probably wouldn't have been impossible.

‘It seemed that I had made the right choice.’ Zeke was filled with a sense of relief.

After all, Quincey hadn't had any gains for several days. If he decided to target us, we would be caught off guard. I'm not sure if Anvindr would care. Sometimes, looks can be deceiving.

Conversations may flow smoothly, but unexpected situations can still arise.

"All right, we'll set off again tomorrow. If we can't gather heaven's energy, we'll make full preparations to hunt down the depraved spirits in the late stage of Sun and Moon Class."

"All right!" Everyone answered in unison.

Zeke glanced back at the loot, feeling a bit of a headache at the sight of the treasures belonging to the demonic cultivators.

Dealing with that matter was indeed challenging. If someone were to discover it, there was a real chance of misunderstandings arising.

However, it wasn't entirely impossible to find a solution.

Zeke stowed away the demonic cultivator's robe to serve as evidence of their deed, proving that they were the ones who had slain the demonic cultivators. Afterward, he cast a glance over everyone present.

"Who wants to take care of these demonic treasures?" He asked. "Be careful, these things are steeped in demonic energy and are not to be used."

"Zeke, you should do it. You're the team leader," Elvis said, raising his fist in respect.

The other three didn't voice any objections either, thus tacitly agreeing.

Seeing the situation, Zeke didn't refuse. He accepted the treasures without hesitation, only leaving behind some valuable medicinal pills and spirit stones, along with quite a few formation flags.

The formation flag would definitely have to be given to Anvindr. After all, Anvindr had recently expended a lot in terms of formations.

Without any hesitation, Zeke handed over all the formation banners to Anvindr.

However, it seemed as though Anvindr was inclined to refuse.

Before Anvindr could speak, Zeke interrupted, "Take it. Only you can make the most out of it. Don't refuse."

"Okay." Anvindr had taken away the formation flags.

As for the remaining pills, Zeke gave his share to Elvis as a resource to fuel the flying ship.

For the rest, everyone was free to choose.

Nobody was particularly greedy, only taking what they needed. Before long, all the spoils were divided up. Everyone was pleased and there were no objections.

As night fell, it was just as restless as before, with depraved spirits running amok everywhere.

Just that once, the brilliant moonlight flashed again, startling everyone from their solitary training.

"It seems something big is about to happen!"

"This time, I could feel it. The duration was even longer than the last time. What on earth was going on?"

"It's hard to tell. Could it just be a normal celestial event?"

Everyone began to discuss.

Before long, everyone noticed two streaks of vibrant colors chasing each other in the distance. Wherever they passed, the earth shattered and mountains crumbled, resounding with a thunderous roar.

Despite the distance, one could still sense the stirrings from there.
