Chapter - 3400

Without the constraints of the celestial signs, Zeke and Elvis were able to hold him back. Besides, Frostine was using her frost art to restrict his movements.

Even if they forced their way through, it would still take a considerable amount of time.

In the vast sky above, a figure cloaked in black was slowly descending, his indifferent gaze casting a disdainful sweep around him.

"Who are you?"

The man in the black robe was Orion.

He was strikingly handsome and exuded a powerful dark aura like a demonic cultivator.

Octantis gulped, his body trembling in fear.

"Orion, I'm Octantis from the Southern Martial House. We're both reputable martial factions. I hope you'll show mercy. I didn't intend to attack fellow members of your sect."

"Didn't intend to?" Orion smirked. "So the blood essence I sensed from our Northern Martial House's ancestor was fake?"

So, he came because he sensed the blood essence.

Octantis was filled with regret. If he had known, he would have struck directly and not given Elvis a chance to use his blood essence.

However, he found it strange that Orion happened to be nearby.

If he was far away, he wouldn't be able to sense the blood essence no matter how powerful it was.

What he didn't know was that Orion had been pursuing Aretta, so he hadn't been running around randomly. He was afraid that Aretta was hiding nearby, so he had been patrolling the area.

"Octantis, what kind of deep-seated grudge do you have that you would target Elvis, forcing him to use his last resort, the blood essence?"

Orion's gaze didn't conceal his killing intent.

He was genuinely angry. Someone wanted to attack his fellow sect members right under his nose.

No top prodigy could tolerate that.

At this moment, Elvis' face was filled with distress. Once the power of his blood essence had faded, his face lost all its color, leaving him incredibly weak.

He lamented softly, "Orion, please help me. He wanted to kill us to get the heaven's energy we found."

His words were clearly exaggerated.

Octantis was anxious to explain, but Zeke preempted him. "That's right! We worked so hard to hunt down the fallen spirits of late stage Sun and Moon Class, paying a huge price. For this, we were also injured. He not only wants to reap the benefits but also wants to kill us all and silence us."

Frostine also said coldly, "He doesn't spare even his fellow sect members."

Pointing at Vela, she saluted Orion, saying, "This is also a disciple of the Southern Martial House, and she's his junior, yet he wants to kill her too."

"What?"

The more Orion listened, the more shocked he became. He never expected Octantis to be so malicious.

While Orion acted arrogantly, he still looked down on those who killed their fellow sect members.

There was no deep-seated grudge; it was just for the heaven's energy. Was there a need to go so far?

He went after Aretta as he was furious that she got a lot of heaven's energy from him.

Compared to him, Octantis was nothing more than a lowlife.

Moreover, Vela didn't refute anything. She was so pure and kind-hearted, so the fact that she ignored everyone's exaggeration showed, that her hatred toward Octantis was already unchangeable.

Although most of what everyone said was true, adding a bit of exaggeration was normal.

"Nonsense!" Octantis nearly ground his teeth to pieces. "You're all slandering me! I never had such thoughts!"

However, Orion disregarded whatever he said. The iciness in Orion's gaze seemed to have materialized, piercing right through him.

This glance frightened Octantis so much that he actually wet his pants.

"Orion, I really didn't intend to kill them."

"Whether you did or not, you'll have to explain to Hades!" Orion snorted coldly and threw out a bunch of black mist with a wave of his hand, heading straight for Octantis.

As his life was at risk, Octantis had no time for anything else. He gritted his teeth, pulled out a badge, and crushed it immediately.

After crushing it, he quickly relayed a message, "Blaze, help!"

After the badge shattered, surprisingly, a cold snort echoed from within. A potent aura of crimson sun emerged from the broken pieces of the badge.
