Chapter - 3403

"Understood!"

Michael nodded repeatedly, hastily leaving with Octantis, who had passed out.

Their team swiftly departed from the place.

Zeke dusted his hands and respectfully flashed Orion a fist salute once again. "Thank you for your help, Mr. Orion!"

"You're welcome." Orion smiled slightly.

Zeke's actions were to his liking, and he felt that the man wasn't half bad.

However, had he known that Zeke had been speaking ill of him before Aretta behind his back, he probably wouldn't have thought so.

"If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave first. But before that, I'd like to ask you all something." Orion's brows furrowed slightly, and he asked, "Did you ever encounter Aretta?"

Speaking of Aretta, everyone couldn't help but recall the events that transpired last night.

They each badmouthed Orion, with Elvis the most ruthless in his criticisms.

At once, the latter's face flushed bright red.

"Orion, how could we possibly have crossed paths with her? She's a top prodigy. But we did see you pursuing Aretta last night. Did you not succeed?" Elvis queried.

Orion grunted softly in affirmation.

Having been seen in the act of pursuing someone, and he even failed at that, it was a tad embarrassing. Thus, he couldn't bring himself to admit it loudly.

"That's bad, then." Zeke's expression changed, and he quickly said, "Our formation is very stable, so she must not have detected our presence. We picked up a trace of her aura but couldn't be sure. It seemed like she had moved away in the opposite direction to you."

The opposite direction?

Stunned for a moment, Orion stared thoughtfully in the opposite direction to where he had been given chase back then.

"That makes sense. Otherwise, I would've found her."

Seeing that Orion had been fooled, Zeke solemnly nodded in agreement.

"Mr. Orion, it was late at night when that happened, and we dared not lend a hand. Elvis wanted to help but was afraid of causing you trouble. Our apologies for not pointing you in the right direction in time.”

Elvis was momentarily taken aback but quickly regained his composure. Picking the conversation up, he interjected seriously, "Yes, we wanted to help you at the time, given my close relationship with Zeke. However, we were not capable enough and couldn't do anything about it."

Observing their solemn expressions, Orion had no reason to doubt their sincerity.

"It's okay. Thank you anyway!" he replied in consolation.

Following that, he cleared his throat softly.

"Enough about that matter. Sooner or later, I'll catch her and make her return heaven's energy to me. Goodbye!"

After he had finished speaking, his figure blurred, and he gave chase in the wrong direction Zeke pointed him.

The remaining few people exchanged glances.

Orion is really easy to dupe. That aside, he has quite the temper. Just over some heaven's energy, he holds a grudge. He would undoubtedly give chase for at least two days.

Circling back to the matter at hand, Zeke turned his eyes to Anvindr, a peculiar look in them.

Nimbus Sect's style is somewhat similar. They also like taking advantage of others. While Aretta is generally a decent person, her conduct is rather unique.

When Anvindr noticed the peculiar look in Zeke's eyes, his face flushed with embarrassment.

"Why are you looking at me like that, Zeke? Let's hurry back. I suspect depraved spirits will be here soon."

"Sure!"

Zeke nodded, swiftly rushing back to the camp with the others.

In the camp, Octantis' treasures, cultivation techniques, and the like were laid out on the ground at that moment, much like items at a flea market.

If he were to witness such a haphazard scene, he would undoubtedly burst a blood vessel.

However, Zeke didn't seem to care at all, simply rubbing his hands together eagerly.

"There sure is a lot of good stuff here, as expected from a disciple of an ancient martial house."

His words left the other four people steeped in awkwardness.

They were all disciples from prominent sects, with only Zeke seemingly having never seen much of the world.

In truth, there were indeed numerous valuable things on Octantis. Even the formation flags he rarely used were comparable to all of Anvindr's collection, not to mention the cultivation techniques and the like.

"How about this? All the core items of Southern Faction, including the star compass, shall be handed to you, Vela."

Zeke handed everything related to Southern Faction to Vela.

Vela nodded slightly. Even if the man hadn't mentioned it, she would have brought it up since Blaze was upset and wasn't thinking clearly. She, however, had to consider that.

After taking the items related to Southern Faction, including the compass, Vela smiled.

"Zeke, I've figured out how Octantis could track us down and had the star chart set up in advance."

"Oh? Do tell," Zeke urged, intrigued.

He had initially planned to divide the spoils before investigating that matter.
