Chapter - 3404

"He tampered with my badge. I noticed something was off when the badge was crushed. Only with that Life and Death Badge could he make his move. Since we are from the same sect, I can definitely tell if he uses other methods," Vela said.

"I see." Zeke nodded in understanding.

"Vela, be more careful in the future. Don't repeat these mistakes. Let's first divide the items, then find a new campsite. It's likely our current camp has been exposed."

"Okay."

This time, when dividing the loot, Zeke allotted a larger portion to Elvis.

After all, without Elvis, their escape wouldn't have been easy. Moreover, Elvis had used the blood essence left to him by his sect. The cost he had paid was substantial. It was only fair that he received a larger share.

Truth be told, when compared to the sacrifices Elvis had made, the things from Octantis could just barely be considered fair compensation.

After the group had divided up the items, they immediately resumed their journey.

This time, the group traveled a great distance, relocating their camp to a new location.

It was probably around seven to eight hundred miles away from the previous campsite.

However, that wasn't enough, as Zeke and the others were still not at ease with what Vela had on her. They helped her eliminate all possible tracking risks before they could finally take a breather.

By this time, it was already nightfall.

The absorption of heaven's energy couldn't be neglected; otherwise, it would vanish.

The group of them continued relentlessly, having scarcely rested, and began to draw in heaven's energy once again.

By the time noon rolled around the next day, everyone had finally finished absorbing everything. They were all exhausted.

"Take a good rest for the day," Zeke said. He wasn't invincible and believed that everyone should take the time to rejuvenate their spirits.

He, too, was injured and needed time to recover.

Mending his injuries had consumed nearly an entire day. It wasn't until late into the night that he began to feel significantly better. His injuries had largely healed, save for a few severe ones that still required time to recover.

However, for him, this wasn't really a big deal.

It was in the evening when Zeke suddenly noticed a few vibrations coming from the communication device that Quincey had previously given him.

He quickly checked, only to hear a few voice messages left by Quincey.

"Zeke, the third group of disciples set to enter the Secret Realm of Mount Kush has already been chosen. They might arrive any day now. Their entry into the Secret Realm of Mount Kush has been delayed, but they're not far off, probably just a little over a month away. In this third group of disciples, the number of top prodigies is slightly less than the second group, but it's still quite substantial. Many hidden prodigies who had been biding their time stopped their observation, emerged from their seclusion, and prepared to truly join the fray. We need to figure out a way to collaborate as soon as possible. Otherwise, with the increasing number of teams, we won't gain any advantage."

He sounded somewhat anxious.

Clearly, he was eager to collaborate with Zeke as soon as possible.

A faint smile played on Zeke's lips. He did not care about the collaboration at all.

Quincey probably couldn't pick up any bargains. He wants to hunt down those depraved spirits in the late stage of Sun and Moon Class, but he's short of manpower. That's why he sought out a collaboration with me.

Had it been in the past, Zeke wouldn't have considered this.

If one's own strength wasn't sufficient, there was no way to guard against any underhanded tactics from the opponent.

But now, Zeke could sense that if he absorbed a bit more of heaven's energy, he would be on the threshold of the mid-stage of Sun and Moon Class.

He was already powerful, and should he reach the mid-stage of Sun and Moon Class, even if Quincey intended to ambush him, it wouldn't be as easy as he might think. Moreover, Quincey had sounded rather frantic this time, suggesting that he probably didn't have any plans for a sneak attack.

I should discuss this with everyone later and then hunt a few more depraved spirits. There's no harm in collaborating.

With that thought, Zeke went to check on the others.

Everyone's recovery was going well, and Elvis' injuries had mostly healed.

Heaven's energy was not only capable of enhancing one's strength, but it also allowed for the surplus spiritual energy to be used for healing. The effects were even better than consuming pills.

When the squad was first formed, their combat abilities weren't exactly impressive.

But now, they had at least improved by a good twenty percent.
