Chapter - 3428

"Hmm?" Morvran's expression turned frosty. "Someone's up to no good!"

He was taken aback, instinctively turning his gaze toward Zeke and Quincey because the only ones capable of doing so were the two of them.

Quincey was dumbfounded, staring at Zeke in disbelief. "Zeke, why did you close the passage? Weren't we supposed to retreat? Have you changed your mind?"

Truth be told, Quincey was angry that Morvran didn't want to fight and wanted to keep exploring, but without Dominion Sect, he didn't want to stick around.

There would be losses to him, but he didn't care anymore.

Zeke scowled, his intuition telling him that this was neither Quincey's doing nor Morvran's nor anyone else's. His instinct was telling him that someone else was with them.

However, he didn't dare to confirm it.

"It wasn't me!" Zeke exclaimed, his expression alert and his brows furrowed. "I didn't want to explore the black temple before, so there's even less reason for me to stick around now. I only came here to trade the formation flags. Why wouldn't I take the chance to leave, if given the opportunity? Someone else is behind this!"

In an instant, Morvran became exceedingly alert, and the other disciples of Dominion Sect also heightened their defenses to the extreme, beginning to search all around.

Even Quincey and his team had started to be on guard, and that was even more so for Zeke and his companions.

However, after they searched for a considerable amount of time, there was no sign of any strange presence.

In the end, everyone began to question if Zeke was just spouting nonsense?

"Enough, there's another way. It might be slower, but let's take it!" Morvran decided without much hesitation.

The blocked path was merely a quicker option, not the only one. There were other choices available, albeit a bit more roundabout, but the time they required to traverse wasn't significantly more.

However, it seemed as if someone had heard his words. On the path that Zeke had taken before, there were surprisingly two depraved spirits at that moment, relentlessly attacking the formation.

"Not good!"

"Depraved spirits!"

"Those are mid stage Sun and Moon Class!"

For the group, dealing with two mid stage spirits was a simple task, especially with Morvran present. He alone could handle it all.

However, the crowd didn't find joy in that. Instead, their fear only intensified.

After all, it implied someone might have been playing tricks on them because why else would the depraved spirits found that place?

Their formation was incredibly solid. Clearly, these two depraved spirits could not break through it.

However, it also conveyed a message to them that there might be an ambush waiting outside.

Morvran's expression was somber, responding with a deep scoff upon hearing the words. "Let's see who dares to mess with us, kill them!"

He once again took out the Colossal Mirror and dashed toward the outside.

Behind him, countless disciples followed, each exuding a powerful aura.

Just then, the earth suddenly quaked.

Boom!

Sand and stones fell from above.

Though it was only for a fleeting moment, the source of the disturbance was none other than the black temple!

In an instant, Morvran turned his gaze toward the massive black temple. All he saw was the grand door of the temple creaking open abruptly.

Inside, it was devoid of any light with depraved spirits bursting out with piercing shrieks.

Without pause, it was as if there was a portal from which countless depraved spirits emerged.

Instinctively, Morvran wanted to run away, but at that moment, Zeke shouted out loud. "Morvran, you can't run away! If there's an ambush waiting for us outside, trapping us in the middle, without the aid of formation, we might get slaughtered by these depraved spirits. By then, there would be no chance for us to escape! We need to utilize the formation!"

Zeke cried out several times in succession, then in the blink of an eye, he charged toward the formation. With a wave of his hand, he threw out the formation flags, activating the formation.

With gritted teeth, Anvindr quickly followed suit.

Since Zeke wasn't running, he decided not to run either!

Elvis and the others didn't run away either. They gritted their teeth and followed along.

If Morvran had chosen to be disloyal and irrational, deciding to run away at that moment, then there was a real possibility that they all could have met their end right there.

They were taking risks, setting an example for everyone.
