Chapter - 3450

Of course, Vesper was the one glowering at him.

She was unhappy because Zeke was spouting nonsense and accusing her of something she had no intention of doing.

Sensing that gaze, Zeke let out a couple of dry chuckles. "Vesper, I-"

"What?" Vesper scoffed, "I'll deal with you later. Do you really think that just because Blaze is here, you're saved?"

Upon hearing her words, Blaze instantly barked out in anger, "Impudent witch! Release Zeke immediately! I can make it worth your while. If you refuse, I won't let you off the hook. There's no one my Southern Martial House can't save when we put our minds to it."

Vesper sneered, "I'm afraid you won't be able to save him. He's one of my demonic cultivators. Look at him. Given my nature, do you think I'd treat him like this? Even if he is my boy toy, he wouldn't be so unscathed, don't you think?"

Upon hearing that, Blaze scoffed. "Witch, your heart is full of malice. Don't think I can't discern your true intentions. If you want to prove that you're telling the truth, what you've shown so far isn't enough!"

At that moment, Zeke, who was standing to the side, scowled and roared, "You witch! I am innocent, and I won't allow you to slander me. To prove my innocence, I am willing to stake my life!"

Just as he finished speaking, he drew out his black sword with the intention of killing himself.

However, a wave of black mist surged forward, instantly repelling the massive black sword.

Vesper was furious. "After all the kindness I've shown you, you dare to contemplate suicide?"

After all, she felt she had already treated Zeke well enough, a treatment that others could only dream of. Even her subordinates didn't receive such favorable treatment.

Thus, she didn't expect Zeke to be willing to take his own life just to prove that he wasn't a demonic cultivator and to maintain his innocence.

From her perspective, he was an ingrate, and she couldn't stand for it any longer. Immediately, she rushed over to Zeke, and with a swift gesture of her hand, she cast a Restrictive Spell on Zeke to bind his movements.

With that, even if Zeke wanted to move, he was utterly unable to.

"Vesper, you may as well end me now. Despite your kindness toward me, I'm a man of the orthodox path. I will never collude with you, witch!" Zeke spoke with a chilly tone.

He was fine with following Vesper around, but engaging in injustice was against his principles.

He couldn't turn a blind eye when Vesper made her intention to kill Blaze's group clear.

Vesper had a furious smile, but her smile was still stunningly beautiful.

"Won't collude with me, hmm? In that case, I'll make sure your hands are stained with the fresh blood of your fellow orthodox comrades. Initially, I only planned to have you sit idly by. However, you unexpectedly jumped out to prove your sh*tty innocence.

So, I will make sure you collude with me today! You only have yourself to blame!"

"You're cruel, witch!" Zeke gritted his teeth. "After our conversation last night, I thought you were kind-hearted. However, you changed all of a sudden. For a witch like you, I wish I could eliminate you right away!"

Suddenly, Vesper was taken aback. A moment later, she regained her composure and cackled. "You want to kill me?"

"If I have the power, I will surely kill you!" Zeke coldly replied. "Sadly, I'm not that capable right now. Otherwise, I would've definitely done it!"

"Fine!" roared Vesper. "I'm giving you a chance now. I'll lift the Restrictive Spell on you later, and then you can try to kill me. Do you dare?"

"Of course!"

"Very well!" Vesper trembled with fury as she waved her hand, lifting the Restrictive Spell she had placed on Zeke. She pulled the massive sword that she repelled earlier toward her psychically and put it back into Zeke's hand. "Come on, then!"

At that moment, Zeke found himself at a loss for what to do.

"Do you really want me to fight you?" Zeke asked, puzzled.

He only said the things he said earlier because was angry, yet Vesper took it seriously.

The crux of the matter was that even if he wanted to kill her, he couldn't.
