Chapter - 3453

Blaze scowled in disbelief and bewilderment. "That doesn't seem right. I can't believe this witch treats you this kindly. Don't pull my leg, Zeke."

Zeke let out a long sigh, knowing full well that no one would believe what he had just said, yet it was the truth.

"Mr. Blaze. I am telling the truth. If you are willing to save me, I will reward you appropriately in the future. How does that sound?" promised Zeke.

Blaze hesitated.

He and his junior disciples looked at each other in bewilderment, uncertain about what to do.

Seeing Blaze's indecisiveness, Octantis quickly stepped forward. He bowed toward Blaze with reverence. "Blaze, I believe your speculation is wrong. Zeke is not one of us. He's always been a part of the demonic cultivators. Everything he's doing now is just to extort benefits from us!"

"Oh?" Narrowing his eyes, Blaze didn't say much else.

In response, Octantis spoke with a hardened look and lowered his voice to the point only Blaze could hear it. "Blaze, it's better to kill the wrong person than let a potential threat escape! It doesn't matter if he is one of them or not. We shouldn't care too much about him. Even if others discover this, no one will dare to object. After all, we too are unaware of the full story."

After hearing that, Blaze fell into silence. He's right. Even if there is a misunderstanding, no one will say anything about me, regardless of which side Zeke is actually on. After all, I didn't do anything wrong. Whether or not Zeke is saved is none of my business. In fact, I think we've done enough already. I don't think I'm willing to part with five beams of late stage Sun and Moon Class heaven's energy.

Besides, if Vesper refuses to honor the exchange, we'll be the one at a loss.

Blaze was wavering, and at that moment, Zeke, with his brows furrowed in concern, began to speak.

"When I was kidnapped, Aretta, the top prodigy of Nimbus Sect, was present. If you don't believe me, you can ask Aretta, Morvran from Dominion Sect, Elvis from the Northern Martial House, Frostine from Duality Sect, and even Vela! They should all be by Aretta's side by now." Zeke felt confident in his assumption.

He believed Aretta would protect his team. Besides, she needed assistance. After all, there was strength in numbers. She could afford not to care about that in the Secret Realm of Mount Kush previously.

However, with the emergence of the black temple, the number of people on her team became a factor that she couldn't ignore.

Upon hearing Zeke utter such words, Blaze no longer hesitated. He fully believed Zeke was kidnapped.

Given that Zeke could confidently suggest Aretta vouched for him, there probably wasn't anything suspicious going on.

Contrarily, it was Octantis who was persistently advising Blaze not to rescue Zeke.

"All right!" Blaze's expression calmed slightly, and after a moment of contemplation, he gave a solemn nod. "Zeke, no matter what, you are a part of the righteous and orthodox sects, and I am determined to save you."

Hearing that, Octantis instantly became upset, a spark of anger igniting in his heart. "Blaze, why don't you heed my advice?"

"What are you saying?" Blaze's brows furrowed in irritation. "Who's the senior here, huh? Who is the top prodigy of the Southern Martial House? Is it you or me?" I can't believe Octantis dared to speak in such a manner, even at a time like this, as if he's so much better than he actually is.

The prideful Blaze naturally couldn't stand it. He had already strongly disapproved of Octantis' previous near-fatal attack on a fellow sect member. He only brought Octantis with him because the latter was a high-level warrior.

However, just because Octantis was high-level didn't mean Blaze would overlook the former's transgressions.

Even the late-stage Sun and Moon Class warriors on Vesper's side respected her and didn't dare to oppose her.

"Blaze, it's better to kill the wrong person than let a potential threat escape!" Octantis ignored the numerous Southern Martial House disciples present and spoke up loudly. "If we save Zeke, the price we have to pay will be steep. Right now, we should be fleeing, not lingering around here!"
