Chapter - 3479

Although the heavens and earth were sealed off, making it difficult to convey much information, if there was a top prodigy nearby, they would still be able to sense it.

Now, all she required was time and luck! It all depended on just how long Zeke could hold out.

Zeke understood this in his heart. If they wanted to survive, they had to wait for assistance, wait for someone to come to their aid.

With this in mind, he didn't unleash his full strength; instead, he feigned weakness as he brandished his massive black sword.

Subsequently, he stared icily at Cirrus.

"Make your move!"

"All right, Cirrus!"

With a faint smile, Zeke revealed a hint of mockery in his gaze.

Even though his abilities paled in comparison to the top prodigies at the time, at the end of the day, he had a multitude of strategies up his sleeve. With the support of various tactics, he could become incredibly strong.

"Zeke, keep going, you must slay this demonic cultivator!"

"Zeke, these demonic cultivators are extremely wicked, employing a multitude of ruthless methods. You must be careful!"

"Keep going, Zeke!"

Countless voices of encouragement filled the air, all cheering on for Zeke.

Even though Zeke's actions to save Vesper seemed quite off to everyone, the fact that he was still battling the demonic cultivator meant that they should at least lend him their moral support.

At that moment, Aretta spoke, her cool voice echoing all around.

"Zeke, fight with all your heart and without worry. As long as you win, I will ensure that Wade fulfills his promise, rescuing Vesper first. As for what happens after the rescue, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

Wade's expression subtly shifted as he squinted toward Aretta, a cold smirk curling up at the corner of his mouth.

"Aretta, are you joking? With me here, you're still talking about saving Vesper? It's truly laughable. Where did you get such courage?"

"So you're saying, you don't want to keep your promise?"

Aretta responded with a cold laugh, "That's not too bad, Zeke, come back."

In the midst of their conversation, she gave Zeke a wave.

Zeke furrowed his brow, turning his gaze toward Wade.

"Wade, what are you really up to? Are you going to fight or not? Are you going to keep your promise? If you never intended to keep it from the start, then there's no need for a battle."

Indeed, if Wade had no intention of fighting from the start, there was no need for a battle.

It would be a waste of time.

Wade drew in a deep breath, feeling a surge of anger in his heart.

"You little brat, you're not in a position to talk here. Wait until you reach my level, then you can talk to me as an equal. My promise stands. If the outcome is decided, I'll definitely keep my word!"

"Begin, you two!"

"No way!" Aretta scoffed coldly, "You, a demonic cultivator, are simply not trustworthy. Unless you swear by the Heaven's Rule, if you fail to keep your promise, the consequences of the Heaven's Rule will fall upon you, and you will be entangled in numerous karmic retributions."

At this point, there was a sudden shift in Aretta's aura, becoming incredibly pure.

It seemed as if she had set the laws of the universe into motion, causing them to gradually align in her favor.

The Heaven's Oath.

This wasn't your everyday vow. Generally speaking, many people wouldn't make such a promise.

Because, karma truly exists.

However, the consequences were minimal!

The stronger one was, the less they tended to care about this. If one reached a certain level of strength, they could even personify the laws of nature, controlling them at their will.

Would Wade now swear an oath to the heavens? Would he?

A hint of hesitation was seen flashing through Wade's dark eyes.

He could easily dismiss any other vows, not caring in the slightest. But a vow to the heavens, he could never take that lightly.

After contemplating for a moment, he slowly nodded.

"Okay!" As he spoke, he began to manipulate the Heaven's Rule.

Waves of dark, orderly power gradually filled his surroundings.

Suddenly, the sky was blanketed with dark clouds, shrouding the world below.

One could hear a faint echo of a dragon's roar, emanating from him.

The ancient, dark dragon seemed to materialize in mid-air, forming an ethereal silhouette. It was roaring toward the heavens, its pitch-black eyes radiating a profound, dark light.

"I swear by the Heaven's Rule..."

"If Zeke indeed bested Cirrus, then I'll hand over Vesper to him!"

"If he loses, I'm definitely going to capture him alive!"

Once the vows were uttered, the heaven and earth were filled with flashes of lightning and the rumbling of thunder. It was as if unseen laws had accepted and acknowledged them.

The Heaven's Oath had been invoked!
