Chapter - 3491

A dense murderous intent flickered in the depths of Wade's eyes. He yearned to obliterate Zeke right then and there, as the latter was already dangerously close to a point where even Aretta couldn't hold him back.

However, having already made a solemn vow, he didn't want to potentially create trouble for his future. If there were to be any divine retribution, that would certainly be problematic.

Reflecting on it, he didn't proceed as initially planned. Instead, he deliberately downplayed his own abilities.

Boom!

Late-stage peak of Sun and Moon Class!

Late stage of Sun and Moon Class!

His strength, all of a sudden, had dropped to the same level as Zeke.

Subsequently, the spear in his hand suddenly moved.

Whoosh!

With a Swift thrust of his long spear, it was as if an illusory black dragon was rapidly charging toward Zeke, aiming to strike him down.

The overwhelming demonic energy suppressed the darkness.

Caught off guard in mid-air, Zeke quickly formed a hand seal.

The star compass quivered, subsequently erupting with a brilliant, sky-shattering starlight that once again illuminated all directions. This dazzling display filled the horizon, making it nearly impossible for the naked eye to discern Zeke's current location.

He could only perceive that as this radiance emerged, the constellation in the sky no longer seemed like a mere illustration, but rather the actual stars themselves, and within the heaven and earth, a faint aura of the stars subtly began to rise.

"This... What is this? What's going on here?"

Everyone present was taken aback and lost their composure.

They hadn't anticipated the formidable power of the star compass. Unknowingly, they found themselves enveloped within a formation, a formation constructed by the star compass itself.

Even Aretta felt the overwhelming force, completely unable to prevent themselves from being enveloped within it.

This didn't seem like a formation. It was more akin to a domain.

However, the star compass was undeniably terrifying. It was astonishing how it could manifest such immense power in Zeke's hands.

With a gaze full of surprise and confusion, Aretta looked into Zeke's eyes, and even Vesper held her breath.

A wave of noisy chatter erupted, with many of the cultivators exchanging surprised whispers.

"He can actually utilize the star compass to this extent. This is one of the divine weapons and not just a simple magical tool. Even within the Southern Martial House, perhaps divine weapons are also pitifully scarce."

"This is indeed a magical object from the Southern Martial House. I've seen Octantis use it before, but even he didn't possess such an ability to drive the star compass to this extent. Who exactly is this Zeke and how can he be so powerful?"

"Wade's spear, it was clearly bonded to its master. This star compass must have had restrictions from the Southern Martial House, so it couldn't be easily bonded. Yet, it was able to perform to such an extent."

At that moment, Aretta couldn't help but cast a glance at Vesper, her beautiful eyes narrowing slightly beneath her veil.

"Did you do something to him?"

"Do something?" Vesper was taken aback, then she explained with indifference, "Aretta, it's true we're enemies, and it's true we have our disputes, but I really haven't done anything underhanded. If I were to make a move on him, it would only be out of goodwill."

"Out of goodwill?"

"That's right." Vesper sneered. "He was just at the pinnacle of the mid-stage peak of Sun and Moon class when he was with you. I directly helped him break through to the late stage of Sun and Moon Class. Would you say I treated him well or not, huh?"

Upon hearing those words, a powerful surge instantly filled the palm of Aretta's hand, gathering a terrifying force.

"Vesper, remember who you are," Aretta warned. "Your life hangs by a thread, solely due to Zeke's mercy. Without him, you'd already be dead. So, watch your tongue unless you want to hasten your end."

With a hint of playful reluctance, Vesper cast a glance at Aretta, subtly nodding her head in acknowledgment.

"All right, I won't say any more then."

Aretta snorted coldly in reaction and halted her actions. She then refocused her attention back on Zeke.

This forward-charging, unwavering figure surprisingly stirred an inexplicable feeling within her, one that even she failed to notice.

Vesper glanced back, his expression seemingly calm. Yet, beneath the surface, a ripple of emotion had already begun to stir.

She had already discerned Zeke's preparations.
