Chapter - 3498

"Ladies and gentlemen, keep your eyes peeled. I reckon there's a seventy percent chance that Wade is going to suffer a major setback."

A seventy percent chance?

Upon hearing that, Himmel scoffed, "It's just seventy percent. Seems like your confidence isn't that high. Wade is a demonic cultivator. His demonic energy isn't something that can be easily manipulated. Are you joking?"

At this point, Zeke had already found himself in deep trouble.

Several fierce attacks surrounded him.

A silver needle pierced his handsome cheek, and a spurt of blood emerged, adding a scar to his face.

Rather than diminishing his striking looks, it actually enhanced his heroic bearing, adding an extra touch of lethal charm.

In the shadows, a cloud of black mist was slowly forming in the palm of his hand, undetectable to anyone.

Aretta hesitated for a moment, glancing at the numerous disciples of Nimbus Sect.

"Let's go!"

She issued her orders with a calm demeanor, then promptly took the lead in withdrawing.

She's... running away?

Vesper's eyebrows arched in amusement as she taunted, "Just as I thought, you so-called orthodox cultivators are nothing more than this."

Aretta sighed. "Vesper, if you wish to help him, then go. After all, I carry a heavy burden of responsibility. If it were just me, I would never make such a choice."

Having said that, Aretta summoned a massive flying carpet with a wave of her hand.

The magic carpet expanded, large enough to accommodate the multitude of disciples.

"Go up!"

At her command, numerous disciples mounted the flying carpet.

Elvis and the others wore expressions of hesitation. After a brief moment, they gritted their teeth.

"I'll stay!"

Elvis was the first to step forward, followed by Vela.

Unexpectedly, Anvindr and Frostine also stepped forward.

"We will stay. Zeke will not necessarily lose."

"Aretta, I'm grateful for all the support you've given us recently. But Zeke and us are, after all, on the same path."

Subsequently, they flew over to Vesper's side.

By now, Vesper could be considered as half a part of them. Despite her serious injuries, Vesper's combat strength was still not weak. Standing by Vesper's side wasn't a bad decision after all.

Aretta momentarily froze, then she let out a bitter laugh. "I'm sorry, everyone. I'm left with no choice. If you all decide not to leave, then... I will have to go!"

After she finished speaking, she paused for a moment. Seeing no reaction from Elvis and the others, she instantly activated her flying carpet, retreating several miles away. From a distance, she watched their movements.

She maintained enough distance for a swift retreat, ensuring that even if Wade broke his promise later, she could still lead the disciples of Nimbus Sect away.

Vesper watched Aretta depart. Deep within, she held nothing but disdain for these so- called righteous and orthodox sects.

She cast a glance at Elvis and the others who were left, a hint of a smile gracing her lips.

"Let's go!" She was the first to make a dash.

"Stop!" Zeke called out with a sense of urgency in his voice, his face revealing his anxiety. "Vesper, run away from here! With me holding him off, you all still have a chance!"

He chose honor over life.

Bewildered, Vesper stared at Zeke, her hand freezing in action.

"Zeke, why are you doing this?"

She shook her head, chuckling.

Subsequently, a fierce intent to kill surfaced in her beautiful eyes.

"Do you think I need to hide behind your back?"

Zeke turned around, his face filled with anxiety. "Vesper, stop trying to act tough right now. Just run!"

Vesper bit her lip, then glanced toward Elvis and the others and abruptly waved her hand.

A potent teleportation surge took Elvis and his companions away instantly. Following that, she charged directly toward Wade.

Wade wore an expression of amusement on his face.

"Oh, so you've decided to challenge me now? What a piece of trash. If you dare to take another step forward, I won't hold back my power and will devour him immediately!"

"You!" Vesper took a deep breath, halting her actions as she truly dared not move upon hearing those words.

At that moment, the one-on-one duel was still ongoing.

However, Zeke was already covered in a multitude of injuries.

It seemed like defeat was imminent.

What should I do now?
