With a shudder, Demon Star clenched his teeth and glanced at Vesper.

If he was facing Zeke alone, escaping would've been possible. But with the addition of Vesper, escape became much more difficult.

Panicking, he said to Vesper, "Vesper, you haven't betrayed the demonic cultivators, have you? Help me now by joining forces to defeat Zeke. We-"

"Never!" Vesper sneered, pulling back on the bowstring.

Meanwhile, Vesper made her move as well.

A black dragon swept across the sky, roaring.
