Chapter 3566

Demon Star clenched his teeth in frustration, his entire body seething with demonic energy. He attempted to counter this force, but the more he resisted, the more intense the force became. Unbeknownst to him, Zeke had already reached his side. In a decisive moment, he struck a blow toward Demon Star's elixir field. Boom! Demon Star was sent flying, blood spewing from his mouth. Meanwhile, the surge of power from Zeke had ceased. It was clear that he couldn't sustain it for long. However, this didn't mean that Demon Star was safe. Suddenly, a golden rope appeared in the hands of Vesper. With a swift move, she lassoed it over Demon Star, subduing him in no time. Following that, she sealed off his acupoints before flying toward Zeke carrying Lacey. "I knew you hadn't left." With a faint smile, Zeke glanced at Vesper and Lacey. His eyes revealed a hint of regret. "Lacey, I owe you an apology, I..." Before he could finish his sentence, Vesper appeared before him, flashing a mischievous smile. "Zeke, what kind of power did you actually comprehend? Would you mind sharing it with me?" She reached out and pulled Lacey to her side, her beautiful eyes narrowing slightly as a cold glint flashed within them. "You?" Zeke froze, a look of disbelief appearing in his eyes. Could it be that Vesper isn't on my side? What's her real intention? "Let Lacey go." Zeke frowned, his voice laced with annoyance. "Vesper, we're all on the same side here. There's no point in you holding onto her. Stop fooling around." "You assume I'm toying with you?" she sneered, the chilling glint in her eyes growing colder. It seemed as if tension had filled the air. Um... Zeke sensed that something was off with the other party. Why is everything so strange today? Buzz! Inside the Ghost Tomb, countless spirits surfaced once again, even the peak of Nebula Class spirits earlier were showing signs of activity. "Attack! Those who dare to venture into Ghost Tomb will undoubtedly meet their end!" With a resounding roar, the ominous auras rapidly closed in. Zeke's expression darkened. He felt that there weren't many opportunities within the Ghost Tomb, so he didn't want to continue fighting. Instead, he wanted to retreat.

However, before leaving, there was still one person left. Zeke reached out toward the flickering remnants of his candle, and then Vela's figure appeared. However, she remained unconscious still. After holding her with his left arm, he swiftly reached out for Lacey. As he did so, a startling dark aura erupted from his eyes toward Vesper. Something is wrong with Vesper! Zeke wasn't one to act on intuition, yet he could still sense something off about Vesper at that moment. Her aura and her every move didn't seem consistent with the person he knew. However, Vesper remained the same person, with no unusual aura. "You raised your hand against me?" With a sly smirk, Vesper casually flicked her hand, releasing a surge of dark demonic energy that obliterated the incoming attack from Zeke. At that moment, Lacey had yet to fully comprehend what was happening, finding it all rather peculiar. "Zeke, wasn't she your subordinate?" "She is, but Lacey, we should really get going!" Zeke replied through gritted teeth. He moved with greater speed, promptly transforming into a dark streak of rainbow light. In an instant, he was by Lacey's side, thinking that he had caught Vesper off guard. Therefore, he quickly wrapped his right arm around Lacey and hurriedly flew outward from Ghost Tomb. Boom! His speed was faster than that of lightning. Everywhere he passed, all spirits were eradicated in his trail. Half an hour later, they finally left Ghost Tomb, arriving at The Dragon's Graveyard. Zeke let out a sigh of relief, wiping the cold sweat from his forehead. "You sure fled fast." Suddenly, a fragrant breeze wafted past his ear, followed by a burst of crisp laughter. "Of course― Before Zeke could finish speaking, his expression drastically changed. Isn't that Vesper's voice? But I don't sense her aura following me. Both of them were in the zenith stage of Nebula Class; their mutual awareness of each other's aura was not too far off. As long as they were moving and not in a state of hiding, Zeke would undoubtedly be aware of her presence.
