Chapter - 3570

Zeke was engulfed in utter despair. He had never anticipated that Vesper would betray him so unexpectedly.

A bitter laugh escaped him. "Vesper, you've hidden your true colors well."

Vesper offered a nonchalant nod in response. "You're right. A fool like you deserves to be toyed with and tormented. You thought I betrayed the demon realm, but that's not the case. You assumed Wade wanted to devour me, didn't you?"

"Wasn't that the case?" Zeke asked, dumbstruck.

Vesper burst into laughter. "Before I arrived, the Demon Lord instructed me to investigate the Eternal Class within the Secret Realm of Mount Kush, including their number of warriors and potential collaboration opportunities. In other words, I didn't come. here for the Demonic Lotus Petals at all."

She continued, "You thought I came here to seek opportunity, but you were wrong! Do you not know that the supreme being in the Eternal Class controls the Demonic Lotus Petals? No one can obtain them easily."

With that, she retrieved the Demonic Lotus Petals from Zeke's storage bag. As expected, the ominous dark glow flickered with an eerie aura, a sense of decadence permeating the air.

The dark energy still lingering within Zeke bore some resemblance to this.

Zeke was utterly shocked. He had never expected that the unfolding events had all been orchestrated by someone else.

What he had initially perceived as a journey to the Secret Realm of Mount Kush-simply competing against numerous demonic cultivators and ferocious beasts for opportunities-turned out to be far more perilous than he had anticipated. What surprised him even more was that the Demon Lord from the demon realm was only seeking to investigate the situation within the secret realm, which was why Vesper had been deployed.

Yet somehow, Zeke still felt the sympathy card she had played before this didn't quite add up.

Battling the pain that wracked his body, he asked, "If you and Wade were on the same side, why did you have to fight him? Why did it have to be to the death?"

"I guess only a fool like you still can't figure it out." A sarcastic glint appeared in Vesper's eyes. "Do you really think breaking through to the Eternal Class is as simple as relying on a single pill? The recognition of the Great Pryncyp is also crucial. Even if your spiritual energy reaches the Eternal Class, if Heaven's Rule doesn't acknowledge it, the breakthrough will still fail. Wade was an idiot to think he could achieve that. And you're no better, running off to the Ghost Tomb in search of opportunities. Did you really think this place held any?"

Zeke furrowed his brow at her words. "So you're saying you all were scheming against each other, and Wade's murderous intent was genuine? If I hadn't saved you then, you would have perished?"

"Well, I did put on quite a show, didn't I?" Vesper scoffed. "Would you have believed me had I not won your sympathy?"

"But I'm just a small fry." Zeke narrowed his eyes.

Zeke recognized that he had been nothing more than a minor character in this chaos. He couldn't understand why a top prodigy would go to such lengths to win his sympathy.

"Have you ever heard of the Celestial Seers?" Vesper asked.

"The Celestial Seers?"

"It's about predicting the future of the race."

"I've never heard of it." Zeke huffed. "What on earth is this Celestial Seers you're babbling about?"

Vesper chuckled as she explained, "Within the demon realm, there exists a branch of Celestial Seers that we, the demons, have tamed. They worked for us and predicted a high likelihood that you would acquire the Force of Annihilation."

"That still doesn't make sense!" Zeke sneered. "Vesper, the lies you're spinning are utterly nonsensical. I wonder who possessed you during those two days you were gone."

"Possessed?" Vesper scoffed. "Are you still under the impression that I'm the same person I used to be? I've told you before, you've fallen for my deception."

Her remark immediately made Zeke realize something was amiss, as her words were inconsistent with what he knew the real Vesper would say.
