Chapter - 3613

"Don't let her pitiful appearance fool you into sympathizing with her. You remember how she toyed with us before, don't you? She was out to drain our vital energy. Maybe we should kill her."

At that time, Zeke had mastered the Great Pryncyp of Annihilation. As for his actual combat strength, he himself wasn't quite certain.

However, he could clearly sense that Ruth was not his match.

At worst, he would harness future power to defeat Ruth. Although he was unsure of how long the future power could be sustained, as long as he could become Eternal Class in the future, that was all that mattered.

As such, it would be easy for him to eliminate Ruth.

The Worldly Immortal's Great Pryncyp wasn't that simple.

Zeke also wanted to test the effectiveness of his first divine power from the Three Temporal Forms he cultivated, which was the ability to use future power.

However, his words left Vela feeling somewhat resigned, prompting her to sigh. "Zeke, didn't you notice? It seems she changed a little after giving her vital energy."

"It's hard to say," Zeke said seriously. "Vela, she's not someone we can trust."

"I'm willing to try." Vela shook her head, then unexpectedly flew toward Ruth.

"Vela!" Zeke was taken aback, wanting to intervene, but it was already too late.

Vela had already approached Ruth and was waving a toy in front of the latter. "Little girl, how about I give you this toy?"

Suddenly, Ruth looked up, casting a smirk toward Vela.

"D*mn it!" Zeke's expression suddenly changed.

Just as he was about to strike, Ruth suddenly took hold of the toy.

She shot Vela a cold glance before her smirk faded away. Pouting, she said, "Thank you."

Clearly, her sneer was merely a facade.

Both Zeke and Vela were taken aback at the same time.

Ruth was seen cautiously touching the toy, a hint of joy flickering in her eyes.

Her voice was somewhat subdued as she spoke. "You're the first person to believe in me so strongly and the one to give me so many toys. I don't trust him."

She pointed at Zeke.

Zeke furrowed his brows, slightly stunned. What does that mean?

"I trust you, miss." Ruth cautiously cast a glance at Vela.

Vela softly chuckled. "Why?"

"Every time those guys saw me, they'd be scared and cower in fear. You're the first to not be afraid of me and even treat me kindly. Also, even though you're weaker than me, you're surprisingly unafraid of me."

Caught off guard, Vela smiled softly. Then, she extended her hand, a flash of light gleaming from it.

The toy that was picked up earlier appeared in her hands. "Why didn't you like the toys I gave you? They were all left on the floor before."

Ruth was taken aback for a moment, then carefully accepted the toy, tucking it away safely. When she lifted her head to look at Vela, there was a pure, innocent look in her eyes.

In the next moment, she hurled herself into Vela's arms.

Zeke's eyelid twitches, and a glint of murderous intent flashed in his eyes. His foot shifted slightly, and he was almost unable to resist lashing out.

Vela and Ruth were so close to each other that he wouldn't be able to react in time if Ruth intended to strike.

However, he held back because he thought it might be more troublesome if he were to take action at that moment.

Zeke gritted his teeth, hesitant.

He had no choice but to stand by, ready to step in at any moment.

Vela's delicate body stiffened in surprise, yet she didn't resist. Instead, she allowed Ruth to lie in her arms. Even more so, she reached out her hand and gently patted Ruth's back like a family member would. "Don't worry, we're not the bad guys. We came here today genuinely wanting to help you."

"Mm." Ruth burrowed into Vela's embrace and said, "Thank you, miss. I actually loved the toy you gave me. It's just... I don't know what happened. I lost it, and I can't remember how."

"It's okay. As long as you like it, it's fine." Vela smiled gently.
