Chapter - 3618

"That's right. Even if her Three Temporal Forms are fully intact, she'll only be a Demi- Emperor Class cultivator," Ruth stated. "She yearned to transcend the Demi-Emperor Class, so she chose heartlessness, causing her Three Temporal Forms to fall into the late stage of Eternal Class."

Zeke was completely taken aback. To think her Three Temporal Forms were of the late stage of Eternal Class. I don't think I can even imagine how powerful she is. Also, transcending the Demi-Emperor Class? I already thought a person with such power was capable of taking over the world. What would someone more powerful than that look like?

Seeing the astonished expressions on Zeke and Vela, Ruth didn't express any disdain.

After all, contemporary cultivators were indeed too weak.

There were only a handful of truly strong warriors in that era.

She furrowed her brows gently, expressing, "So, even if I were to trust you, I can't just hand over the power of the Six Paths of Reincarnation. Also, I haven't recovered enough of my memories yet. After the moon had vanished, it bestowed upon me the strength to recall even more memories. To recall more memories, I can only wait for the moon to rise again, so it's not possible now."

"It's fine." Zeke shook his head and smiled. "Ruth, thank you for sharing so much with me. I'm truly grateful. Actually, whether or not I become Eternal Class is not that important. My main concern is to save my friend. As of now, I still don't have a solution. Could you perhaps help me figure this out?"

Ruth hesitated for a moment, nodding slightly. "Sure, I can help you, but..."

Zeke raised an eyebrow, expecting Ruth to lay down some conditions. He then said, "Go ahead and tell me. I'll make it happen as long as it's within my power."

"I want to stay by your companions' side." Ruth playfully stuck out her tongue, adding, "As for you, could you keep a little distance from her? I have a hunch you're not all that innocent."

"This..." Zeke rolled his eyes. He looked at Vela and asked softly, "Vela, do you think her words can be trusted? Staying by my side is actually the safest for you. I don't want you to be too far away from me."

Vela covered her mouth as she chuckled. "Zeke, there's no need for you to worry about me. If Ruth had intended to make a move, she would have done so earlier. She wouldn't have waited till now."

"True, you're right." Zeke nodded in agreement.

When he turned to Ruth, he noticed wariness on her countenance.

"Are you trying to hit on her?" Ruth questioned, pouting.

Zeke smirked. "You're overthinking it."

Seemingly feeling his explanation was insufficient, he added, "I'm a man of devotion. She is my junior, and I am merely fulfilling my duty to protect her."

"As for you!" Zeke suddenly chuckled with amusement. "Are you trying to charm my junior, young lady?"

Ruth also pouted and was about to say something when Vela suddenly stood up. She smiled gently at them both. "All right, let's not argue anymore. Right now, saving lives is the top priority."

She glanced at Ruth and gently said, "Ruth, come to my side. Let's venture the world together from now on."

Ruth was momentarily stunned before she became excited and swiftly plunged into Vela's embrace. "All right, thank you!"

Zeke felt resigned and sighed. Recalling Ruth's words from earlier, he deliberately kept some distance from them.

That way, when Ruth looked at him, the hostility in her eyes significantly lessened.

"What should we do next?" Zeke was somewhat distressed because they were stuck again.

Just as he was about to ask Ruth, the ground suddenly began to tremble. A powerful aura was approaching from the distance.

Zeke's expression drastically changed as he looked toward the horizon and discovered a brilliant burst of white light in the distance.

The aura of that white light seemed somewhat akin to that of Emerald Sword God.
