Chapter 1150

Liam Weaver was freezing while trying to suck in his snot. In order not to expose their current location, the chopper which had brought the four of them to the top of Mount Golim had to leave. If it wasn’t for that, they could have hidden in the chopper to keep themselves warm. After waiting for a few more minutes, Charlie Wade had a glimpse of bright lights illuminating the windy mountain road. The lights came from two cars which were making their way up the mountain. Isaac saw the streaming beams of lights too and in a frantic voice he spoke, “Master, that should be them!” Charlie nodded and replied with a smile, “Been waiting for so long that I almost fell asleep.” Don Albert quickly drew his pistol while gritting his teeth, “Damn it, I’ll be witnessing the awesomeness of The Eight Heavenly Kings today!” Charlie replied uninterestedly, “Don Albert, put your gun away. It’s useless against them.” Don Albert stood up straight and in that flash of a moment, he seemed to understand what was happening. In the past, he has witnessed these metaphysic phenomena before, which includes Charlie being a manipulator of lightning. So, with enough cultivation, it didn’t really seem that surprising after all for someone to be bulletproof. Isaac asked, “Master, what should we do later? Please do not hesitate to order us if you need help.” Charlie gently smiled. “All of you don’t have to do anything, just staying behind me would suffice.” Don Albert quickly blurted, “Master, why don’t you summon a few bolts of lightning and zap those Eight Heavenly Kings people into dust like that Jack Yaleman dude?” Charlie chuckled. “I’ve gotten bored of striking people with bolts of lightning. Plus, today’s attendees are warriors. It would be a good chance for a simple sparring session.”

Isaac did not see Charlie vaporize Jack with lightning everything Isaac knew about that incident was through word of mouth. Somehow Isaac felt that the lightning strike could be a coincidence because he had never seen anyone being able to control lightning before. The Wade family knew a lot of people who were metaphysically gifted but had never heard of anyone with such extraordinary powers. At this very moment, his eyes were fixated on the two cars which were snaking their way up the windy mountain road. As their distance grew closer, Charlie made his way towards the center of the road and began walking downwards towards the moving cars. The remaining three people exchanged looks before running along after Charlie. Duran, who was sitting in the passenger seat was already feeling drowsy but the driver looked at his co-driver and said, “Brother, we’re arriving soon.” Duran quickly replied with a question, “How much farther?” “I guess it’s about five more kilometers to go.” Duran stretched a little before mumbling grumpily, “Finally we’re about to arrive. Everyone, please be alert. No matter how weak our enemies are, we must never let our guard down.” One of his younger brothers brought out a walkie-talkie and said, “Everyone please stay alert, we’re about to arrive at our destination!” The car in the back received the message and replied, “Noted, we’ve already done our warm ups.” The cars continued driving up. As they were taking a turn, the car lights shone upon a silhouette standing in the middle of the road. The driver who was by Duran’s side panicked and shouted, “Damn it! Is that a human or a ghost?”
