Chapter - 1151

It was no surprise that the driver got spooked. All along the way, there wasn’t a single person in sight and now, in the middle of the night, there was a person standing in the middle of the road. It was indeed a frightening experience.

Duran was dumbfounded. He stared blankly at the person on the road who was slowly making his way towards them.

Unconsciously, words came out of Duran’s mouth, “It…it is indeed a human!”

The person standing outside looked very young. He wore a smile on his face and a simple flowy tunic. Both arms were folded at his back and with a laidback expression. His appearance didn't seem to fit his icy cold surroundings at all.

This person was no other than Charlie Wade!

At the same time, Isaac and his group of people were about ten meters behind him, hiding in the cloak of darkness.

Charlie had told them beforehand to just watch and not expose themselves.

As the driver saw Charlie’s face, he spoke in an anxious tone, “Brother, this weird person who is standing in the middle of the road seems suspicious. He might be messing with us. Should I just slam on the accelerator and ram into him?”

Duran thought for a moment and decided, “This person has the gall to wait for the eight of us here. I don’t think he’s simply doing this out of boredom. This could also be a trap. I think it’s best if we stop the car to investigate!”

At that moment, Charlie was holding onto his lightning order, his mind calm and collected. He stood in the middle of the road and was unafraid of the oncoming car driven by The Eight Heavenly Kings. If The Eight Heavenly Kings decided to ram him with the car, he could just simply summon two bolts of lightning and send the car swirling down the edge of the mountain, ending the battle immediately.

Thankfully, Duran didn’t look down on his opponent. The two cars began slowing down and were about ten meters away from Charlie before gradually coming to a stop.

Soon after, The Eight Heavenly Kings all got out of their cars. Duran walked in front of the group toward Charlie. With a cold tone, he asked, “Who are you, brat? How dare you stand in the way of The Eight Heavenly Kings!”

Charlie smiled a little and replied, “I’m Wade. Charlie Wade. The infamous son-in-law of Aurous Hills!”

Duran was taken aback. He was surprised and shocked.

They were just talking about Charlie Wade and how everyone was hoping that he would appear so that they can get rid of him once and for all. Albeit all the talk, he has never actually believed that Charlie would really appear in this…remote place!

No matter how he tried, he couldn't seem to wrap his mind around some issues. Before Duran left, Charlie was still in Aurous Hills. So why and how did Charlie arrive here earlier than they did?

Quickly, Duran pushed the question to the back of his mind and looked at Charlie. With a cold tone he asked, “Mr. Wade, were you expecting us?”

“Yes,” Charlie replied with a laugh.

“And here I thought that The Eight Heavenly Kings were a group of amazing people. It never occurred to me that the eight of you are just eight old men. Does the sum of all your ages hit four hundred?”

Duran and his brothers were all middle-aged men, and even the youngest was already above the age of fifty. Therefore, the sum of all of their ages would definitely be more than four hundred years old.

At that moment, Duran’s rage grew as he listened to the insults being hurled at him and his brothers. With a stern and dissatisfied voice he replied, “I wasn’t looking forward to taking your life today and instead, I was thinking of going to Aurous Hills to kill you once we’re done with our work here. I didn’t expect you to show up here and present us with such an amazing opportunity. You could have chosen a safe path yet you chose to walk straight into our grasp. I guess this is also a blessing—at least, it saves us an unnecessary trip to Aurous Hills.”

Charlie laughed, “Take my life? I guess I’ll have to see if you have what it takes!”

“Enough with the nonsense!” Duran shouted. “Charlie Wade, we as The Eight Heavenly Kings aren’t simple peasants. We’ve paved our way in this society for tens of years. Today, I’ll let you have a taste of our might. I’ll send the youngest member to represent us in this battle. He is known as Hades of the Iron Fist. Consider it a blessing to die by his hands!”

Charlie just smiled as Duran spoke. He then proceeded to ridicule him, “Hades of the Iron Fist? That’s good, he can die by the hands of the True Dragon Charlie Wade today. This is thanks to the years of his accumulated good fortune!”

At that moment, the youngest man among The Eight Heavenly Kings shouted and walked forth. He pointed at Charlie and spoke with an angry tone, “Damned brat! You want to take my life? Let me show you the power of my Iron Fist!”
