Chapter - 1233

Sam regretted his action and nodded hastily when his mother asked him to go see his grandmother.

Lydia turned around and said, “Get dressed now, hurry!”

Sam quickly grabbed his clothes and put them back on.

Lydia asked, “By the way, what’s your business at Aurous Hills? Why did you come back so quickly? And I heard you swallowed a ruby necklace, is it true? Is it the one that I picked out for you to give Miss Moore? What is going on?”

Sam sighed dejectedly as he was bombarded by a series of questions from his mother and said, “Mom, can you please stop with your questions? Long story short, when I went to Jasmine’s birthday party in Aurous Hills, a loser with the last name Wade came out of nowhere and I made a bet with him. I was forced to swallow the ruby necklace when I lost the bet.”

Lydia frowned at his remark and said, “How did you offend someone from the Wade family? Is he from the Wade family in Eastcliff? Son, we can’t afford to go against them!”

Sam quickly said, “No, Mom, he isn’t from Eastcliff, he is just a lousy live-in son-in-law of some third-rate family in Aurous Hills. Just because he knew a trick or two in refining some shitty magical elixir, the Moore family was hypnotized by his freaking charm.”

Lydia asked again, “So, have you spoken to the head of the Moore family about the wedding arrangements and the potential collaboration? Your dad is hoping that you can take advantage of this matter to impress your grandfather.”

Sam huffed in exasperation, “Forget it, Mom! The Moore family are a bunch of ignorant crooks who can’t tell chalk from cheese. Also, Jasmine has been making passes at that Wade loser. I seriously suspect they have a fling!”

“Impossible!” Lydia shook her head and said, “I hired a private investigator to check that Moore girl out, she’s a very nice girl and I can say that many young ladies in Eastcliff may not be on the same level as her! Besides, the investigator told me that she hasn’t been in any relationships from a young age.”

Then, she deliberately said in a whisper, “I’ll tell you a secret, I also had the investigator look into Jasmine’s medical checkup report from a prestigious private hospital some time ago and the report shows that she’s still a virgin!”

“What?!” As soon as Sam heard this, the vicious wolf-like gaze flashed in his eyes again!

He blurted anxiously, “Jasmine Moore is still a virgin?!”

Lydia scolded in a low voice, “How many times do I have to tell you not to speak in such a vulgar way! If your grandparents hear you, you’ll leave a bad impression again!”

Sam panicked and explained, “I’m sorry, Mom, it’s just so unbelievable that I was surprised!”

Lydia said, “From my investigation, Jasmine truly is one in a million. Your grandfather emphasizes on legitimate bloodline and a woman’s status as well as her cultured nature so much, so I believe that he will be very pleased if you can marry Jasmine. Why would I make you travel all the way to Aurous Hills otherwise?”

Then, she lowered her voice again and instructed, “I’m telling you, Jasmine is your chance to shine.”

“Your grandfather has always wanted your uncle’s eldest son to pursue the fourth young miss of the Wade family but she wasn’t interested at all and he ended up being scolded for being incapable and incompetent.”

“Then, the uncle’s second son was a couple with the young miss of the Fisher family in Eastcliff. While their family is at the upper-rank of the social circle, the girl is so plain looking that even plastic surgery can’t save her miserable face.”

“Moreover, the girl doesn’t look the least bit like a young miss from a wealthy family with her carefree and wild temperament, so your grandparents aren’t very happy with her. So, if you can find a nice girl like Jasmine Moore, your grandparents will be over the moon! By that time, you’ll probably be their number one grandson!”
