Chapter - 1253

Charlie had not spoken all this while. However, when he saw Isabella’s father picking up the rolling pin in his hand he suddenly got very angry. It was fine if they were just making sarcastic and cynical remarks, scolding her, or attacking her personality. After all, he had simply accompanied his wife here to help her marry off her high school classmate. So all he wanted to do was to drive away and leave as soon as possible to complete the task of marrying her friend off. Therefore, he stood in front of Claire and Isabella in a very protective manner. After that, he stared coldly at Isabella’s father as he said, “Do you know that all of your actions are illegal? Interfering in your children’s marriage is a freedom against morality. Moreover, personal attacks and insults, as well as your intention to sell your own daughter are also against the law!”

Isabella’s father had a cold expression on his face as he said, “Who do you think you are? What has our family’s affairs got anything to do with you at all? I’ve not even kicked you out of my house yet and you actually dare to be so pretentious in front of me?”

Charlie sneered before he replied, “I’m definitely going to be a pretentious and pompous show off today!”

After he was done speaking Charlie said to Claire and Isabella, “It’s already getting late. Let’s leave right now. If anyone dares to stop us, I won’t let them off!”

Isabella was actually starting to get very anxious. This was because she was afraid that she would arrive late at the hotel prepared by her in-laws. If she arrived late and missed the auspicious timing booked by her mother-in-law, then her mother-in-law would definitely be even more dissatisfied with her.

It did not matter to her if her mother-in-law gave her a dissatisfied look. However, the point was that she did not want her mother-in-law to put any pressure on her fiancé. In fact, her mother-in-law had always despised and looked down on her. Now, this will only be the second time that I’ve ever disobeyed you but I hope that you can take my feelings into consideration. After all, I’m human! I’m not an asset or tool that the Stark family should be using. I have the right to pursue my own happiness too!”

“Pursue my ass!” Isabella’s father yelled angrily. “I’ll never allow you to step out of this door today!”

Charlie replied coldly, “You’re not qualified to stop this matter today. If you dare to, you can try to do so.”

Isabella’s brother yelled angrily, “Damn it! If this woman isn’t letting me get married, then she shouldn’t think of getting married either! You’re just an outsider so you’d better get out of our way now or I’ll fucking beat you to death!”

Charlie raised his hand before he gave him a tight slap. With one single slap, Isabella’s brother fell to the ground and even spun around a couple of times. When Isabella’s father saw that his precious son just got hit, he gritted his teeth angrily and he raised the rolling pin in his hand as he prepared to slam it down on Charlie’s head.

“The Stark family has only had one son for a few generations now. You actually dare to hit my son? I’ll beat you to death!”

When Claire saw the strength that the opponent was using to slam the rolling pin down on Charlie’s head was clearly enough to smash a person’s head apart, she yelled nervously, “Charlie, be careful!”

Charlie did not move at all and he simply stared at the incoming rolling pin. Within the next second, Charlie waved his hand violently and he broke the thick wooden rolling pin with his bare hands!
