The Amazing Son in Law/

Chapter - 1275

Chapter 1275

After listening to the calculations, Mr. Carson immediately made up his mind. He turned to face his son and spoke, “Steve, it’ll be a waste if you don’t pick this wife. Not only did they not request for a dowry, but instead, they are offering you tens of millions worth of dowry. This is an amazing chance!” Steve replied coldly, “Yes. It is very good indeed. It seems as though you don’t mind having a mixed-blood grandson.” David said without a shred of embarrassment, “After giving me fifty million dollars? I don’t mind at all! So what if it’s a mixed-blood grandson? For fifty million dollars, I don’t even mind if my son turns out to be of mixed-blood!” Steve snapped back, “Stop wasting your saliva. I am not agreeing to the wedding.” David sighed. His face was stern and his tone was firm. “My son. You’re really lacking in experience. You still don’t understand how things work. You’ve never experienced the pain of having no money. I really should have made you live a few days of suffering when you were younger to toughen you up. That way, you’d know how valuable money is and how difficult it is to earn it!” “You’re right!” Leann agreed. “That is true. It is very hard to earn money! Fifty million dollars doesn’t just simply present itself to you. Can you imagine how difficult it is to earn fifty million dollars? Are you even sure that you can get that much money in the future? If one day you look back and regret your decision, please don’t blame your mother for not telling you to do the right thing!” Without hesitating, Steve replied, “No matter what you say, I won’t agree to this marriage.” “Won’t agree?” Leann repeated. “You don’t want to agree, am I right? Since you don’t want to agree to it, I will never let Isabella into our family! And you… You can leave this house too!” Steve promptly replied, “I will leave. I have been thinking of that for a while now!” “You…” Leann fumed. “If you leave, I will terminate your credit cards! In the future, don’t you even dare to think of taking any money from this family ever again!” Steve looked at his mother. “Don’t worry. I won’t take any money from you. I will look for a job with Isabella, and we will work hard to make a living and pay for our own rent. We will live our lives with whatever money we have! I will be satisfied with just that!”

After saying those words, Steve plucked the flower brooch from his chest pocket and threw it onto the ground. “I am not going to proceed with this wedding either. From now on, I will work hard with Isabella. We will earn our own money and organize our own wedding!” After saying that, he turned around and walked toward Isabella. He reached for her hand and said, “ Isabella, I’m so sorry that we won’t be having our wedding ceremony today. From today onward, I will move out of this house. We will move to Aurous Hills, and rent a small house together. The money for the ceremony can be collected over time. We can collect it at our own pace… Do you think you can accept that?” Touched, Isabella nodded her head. “Yes… I willingly accept your proposal!” Steve chuckled, “Alright, let’s go!” He then turned to Claire and Charlie, “I’m so sorry… Can you please wait till Isabella and I are more capable first? I promise to hold the ceremony again, and I will make sure to invite both of you!” Claire smiled. “Don’t worry. Charlie and I will be looking forward to that event!” Deep down, Claire felt that it was the right thing to do. Steve should have just cut ties with this weird family. A family that didn’t focus on human relations wasn’t really a family to begin with. Since they wouldn’t allow him to marry Isabella, it would be best if he just left this house and followed his heart. Charlie was amazed by Steve’s action. He couldn’t help but smile. “When you guys are ready to marry, I will pay for the wedding transportation.” Steve bowed politely and replied, “Thank you in advance!” At this moment, Leann quickly waddled her way toward them. With anger in her tone, she bit out, “Steve, if you really leave with that girl, your father and I will cut all ties with you. You’d better not regret this!” Leann thought that no matter what, the marriage between her son and Mr. Ward’s daughter had to proceed. She couldn’t let this once in a lifetime opportunity go to waste.
