Chapter - 5055

Matthew subconsciously dumped the pot on Emily in an attempt to protect himself, but he didn't expect her to become so angry. He had always thought that Emily was subservient to him because he was handsome and successful, and believed that she would always support him, no matter what. However, he overestimated his charm and underestimated the importance of money to Emily. She was only interested in men with money, and didn't care about looks or charm if there was no financial security. Matthew's actions, combined with the news that Michaela would block Emily in the design industry, cut off her financial road and caused her to become angry.

Matthew saw that Emily was extremely angry and tried to calm her down by winking at her and saying, "Emily, you need to watch what you say in front of Miss Joules. It's best if you just leave now and go see the human resources director at the company tomorrow. They will give you a severance package according to company policy."

Matthew didn't want to be too direct about his intentions, so he winked at Emily and mentioned the severance package to let her know that he would not treat her badly if she took the blame for what happened. He was trying to reassure her without being too explicit about it.

However Emily was already extremely angry at Matthew, and his mention of a severance package only made her more furious. According to the company's policies, she was only entitled to half a year's salary as severance pay because she had only been with the company for a few years. Furthermore, although Matthew had promised her a promotion to senior partner, there was still a three-month trial period before she could officially be debriefed and receive all the benefits of the position. All of these factors only added to Emily's anger and frustration.

If Emily were to be fired, she would only be entitled to half a year's salary as severance pay, and that amount would be based on her previous salary. Depending on her previous salary range, this could be anywhere from $200,000 to $300,000. This would be a significant financial blow. Emily was livid when she realized that Matthew was trying to get rid of her for such a small amount of money. She was shaking with anger and blurted out to Michaela, "Miss Joules, the reason all of this happened today is because this bastard has his eyes on Claire! He asked me to find a way to introduce Claire to him and to create an opportunity for him to try and hit on her, so he could try to win her over!"

Matthew was terrified by Emily's accusations and immediately slapped her, yelling, "Emily, what are you trying to do by slandering me like this? I just met Ms. Wilson today, so how could I possibly have any ill intentions towards her like you're saying? You're just trying to slander me!"

Emily covered her face and cursed at Matthew in anger, holding back the pain from the slap. "I'm slandering you? You really think I don't have proof?"

Emily took out her cell phone and retrieved her chat records with Matthew, showing them to Charlie and Michaela. "Look at the time these photos were sent," she said. "The earliest one was almost a month ago, when I had just met Claire in the master class. Matthew made a move on her at that time, and he's had his eye on her ever since. These messages and photos prove that he's been interested in Claire for a long time."

Matthew said nervously, “You sent me all these photos, so how can you say that I had my heart set on Ms. Wilson!?”

Emily said coldly, “Don’t admit it, right? Here are the chat records, so you can show Mr. Wade and Ms. Joules how you replied to me!”

After that, she looked at Michaela and angrily blurted out, “Miss Joules, you must not let this beast go, he just had an inappropriate sexual relationship with at least seven female employees, including me within the company and that’s not the most terrible thing! What’s scary is that this son of a bitch also preyed on his 13-year-old adopted daughter! He also took a lot of indecent videos on his phone!”

Matthew was terrified when he heard this and subconsciously asked, "How do you know about all of this?" He was clearly shocked and panicked by the accusations against him.

Emily sneered, "I've known your phone password for a long time. Every time you stayed overnight at my apartment, I would add some sleeping pills to your red wine. While you were asleep, I would secretly go through your phone and look at your chat records, email correspondence, and all the photos and videos you have hidden on there. That's how I know everything."
