Chapter - 5298

Nanako gave Angela a thumbs up and exclaimed, "Teaching at Aurous Hill University requires a doctorate degree. That's truly amazing!"

Angela awkwardly brushed off Nanako's compliment and modestly replied, "A doctorate degree is nothing special. There are too many people with doctorates nowadays."

As they chatted, the elevator stopped on the first floor, and Angela quickly exited. She bid farewell to Nanako politely and said, "Well, I'll go first!"

Nanako couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off about Angela. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, but Angela seemed to be scared of her and her eyes seemed to betray her. When Angela left the elevator, Nanako couldn't help but feel relieved.

As she pondered over the strange encounter, Nanako couldn't help but wonder, "Am I really that scary?" Her thoughts were interrupted as the elevator reached the underground garage, and Charlie pulled in after a few minutes of waiting.

Nanako stood eagerly to the side, awaiting Charlie's arrival.

As soon as Charlie parked the car, she rushed over and waited by his side.

As soon as Charlie stepped out of the car, Nanako waved at him impatiently and bowed slightly. "Mr. Wade, you've traveled a long way. Thank you for coming."

Charlie was taken aback for a moment but quickly smiled and replied, "It wasn't too difficult of a journey. How long have you been waiting here?"

"I just arrived," Nanako replied hurriedly. "You mentioned something important, so let's discuss it upstairs."

Nanako flashed a sweet smile and gestured towards the elevator. "Please follow me, Mr. Wade."

Together, they walked into the elevator, and Nanako pressed the button for their floor. "There's a beautiful woman who lives upstairs," she continued, turning to Charlie. "She's a teacher at Aurous Hill University."

"Really?" Charlie asked curiously. "How did you find out?"

Nanako replied, "I coincidentally bumped into her in the elevator earlier, and we had a chat."

Charlie nodded casually and commented, "Teachers from Aurous Hill University can’t afford to buy property in this community, and they seem to have the same type of apartment as you. Their financial resources are rather unusual. I doubt ordinary teachers can afford multi million-dollar houses. Furthermore, you mentioned that she's beautiful and young, making it even more unlikely for her to have such savings. It's highly probable that she's from a wealthy family."

Nanako agreed, "Your analysis makes sense. I think she exudes elegance and refinement, suggesting that she's been pampered and groomed since childhood."

Charlie hummed noncommittally but didn't dwell on the topic.

As they reached Nanako's floor, the elevator doors opened, and she invited Charlie into her home.

Upon entering the living room, Nanako had already prepared the necessary tea sets for their tea ceremony. "Please take a seat, Mr. Wade, and I'll prepare the tea," she said happily.

Charlie nodded, and they sat across from each other as Nanako worked on the tea tray. Charlie broke the silence by asking, "Nanako, do you still practice martial arts frequently?"

Not knowing where the question came from, Nanako answered honestly, "I rarely have the opportunity to practice martial arts these days. I'm in charge of household affairs, so I hardly have time to practice like before. Nowadays, I only practice to maintain flexibility in my limbs."

Curious about Charlie's sudden inquiry, she asked, "May I ask why you're interested in my martial arts practice, Mr. Wade?"

Charlie smiled and responded, "Nanako, do you want to learn martial arts?"
