Chapter - 5898

At this moment, Morgana was in seclusion in her dojo.

Her dojo is located deep within this Antarctic island, over 300 meters below sea level, encased by cold, rugged rocks. Morgana chose to establish the Warriors Den in such a secluded part of the Antarctic Circle for its concealment and safety, as well as its favorable environment for cultivation.

In recent years, Morgana has seldom retreated for long periods. Each seclusion period can last anywhere from a few days to several months, unlike the Three Elders, for whom seclusion is measured in years.

The reason Morgana does not retreat for an extended duration is not due to concerns about losing control over the Warriors Den's development, but rather because, as she ages, it has become increasingly challenging for her to calm her mind and focus on cultivation. Five hundred years have passed in the blink of an eye, and yet she has not discovered the formula for the Millenium Return Pill. Even though it feels like there are still many years ahead, time truly slips away when it comes to cultivation.

As Morgana grows older, she increasingly senses that life adheres to the principle of energy conservation.

Though cultivators enjoy longer lives, the time they spend truly experiencing and enjoying life is not much greater than that of an ordinary person who might pass away in their sixties or seventies. In some cases, their existence may even be less fulfilling.

Over the past four centuries, she has dedicated at least three hundred years to cultivation. The remaining time was spent either searching for Maria or developing the Warriors Den, leaving almost no room to savor life.

Reflecting on her past, she realizes that her best moments were spent cultivating alongside her friend Lucius Clark in the Shiwan Mountains.

At that time, Master Morvel Bazin rarely intervened. Instead, he would spend half an hour checking their progress after several days of retreat, offering guidance before retreating again for several days.

During those times, it truly felt as though it was just the two of them in their secluded world.

Morgana cherished the experience of sharing that corner of tranquility with her beloved amidst the chaos of the outside world, which only doubled her joy.

Moreover, the cultivation experience filled her with tremendous anticipation and excitement, akin to adding a powerful boost to her happiness.

However, that overwhelmingly beautiful feeling shattered the moment she plunged her sword into Lucius Clark. Since then, happiness has eluded her, leaving behind only a twisted desire.

Currently, while in retreat, Morgana is not solely focused on cultivation. Instead, she seeks to calm her thoughts and contemplate her future plans.

Four hundred years have slipped by in an instant. She understands well that she is approaching the twilight of her life. Initially, she had hoped to obtain the Millenium Return Pill to extend her life for another five hundred years. However, after her recent journey to the Shiwan Mountains, she realized that her master, Morvel Bazin, had not truly passed away. What she had been pursuing for centuries might merely be a small part of the extensive game orchestrated by her master.

As a result, the hope of living another five hundred years has become increasingly fragile.

She simply cannot fathom what schemes her master has been orchestrating in the Shiwan Mountains for the last four hundred years.

Just as she was lost in thought, she sensed someone approaching from above her dojo, several hundred meters above—the one and only Aemon.

Aemon reached the top of the dojo, where a heavy stone gate stood.

Entering through the stone gate marked the first step into Morgana's dojo.

Beyond the gate lies Morgana's protective formation, followed by a vertical well plunging more than 200 meters deep. At the bottom of this well stands another stone gate, behind which is where Morgana retreats for her practice.

Aemon halted before the stone gate and respectfully called out, "Master, I have urgent news to report!"

Morgana frowned slightly, stood up, and stepped out of the dojo. The heavy stone door below swung open effortlessly under the influence of her spiritual energy. She stood in the well and, with a thought, ascended swiftly, reaching the well's surface in an instant.

As the stone door above swung open, Morgana stepped out. Observing Aemon, who was sweating profusely, she asked in a stern voice, "What happened?"

Aemon composed himself and replied gravely, "Lord Mirren, Victor Steel reported that the Moroccan dead soldiers camp has been completely destroyed..."

Morgana gasped in shock, "Morocco?!"

Aemon confirmed, "Yes, it is indeed Morocco. I've seen the footage, and the camp is entirely gone."

Morgana seethed with anger, "It has to be that individual again! Didn't he head to Nigeria?!"

"No," Aemon replied. "I inquired with Victor. The Three Elders have been monitoring the situation around Nigeria, and they haven't detected anyone with spiritual energy. I suspect the other party anticipated our intentions, purposefully avoiding Nigeria to strike in Morocco."

Morgana's expression darkened, and a menacing aura radiated from her. She declared sharply, "This person realized Nigeria was a trap and deliberately chose Morocco—this is a provocation! Show me what you're capable of!"

Given the gravity of the situation, Aemon refrained from offering comforting words to Morgana. Instead, he stated earnestly, "My Lord, I agree with your assessment. This individual is far stronger than we initially estimated. Not only does he possess formidable personal strength, but he also exerts considerable influence overall. It's astonishing that he can see our plans for what they are while identifying another of our bases!"

Morgana gritted her teeth, saying, "You're right; I underestimated him! I had initially thought that the exposure of the Cyprus base was because it fell into his hands during the last Cavalry Guards' attempt to capture Maria. But those guards couldn't possibly know anything about our other garrisons. Now it seems he must have alternate channels for gathering information!"

Aemon quickly added, "Lord Mirren, I have two more important matters to report."

Morgana replied coldly, "Speak!"

Aemon continued, "First, Tara Decker was also in Morocco, and her current state is unknown."

Morgana shuddered at the news, fear flooding her expression, but she forced herself to remain composed. "And the second matter?"

Aemon reported, "Victor just alerted me on the phone that if that person has turned his attention towards Nigeria, then our base there must have been compromised. Victor and the Three Elders are currently present in Nigeria and are likely to become targets. He's seeking your guidance on the next steps for them."

Morgana's expression darkened even further. "Victor Steel, this fool, has not only lost the base in Morocco but also Tara. She is exceptionally talented; with proper training, she could have elevated the Three Elders to four. Now her fate is uncertain, and even if she's alive, finding her will be challenging! This destruction brings me significant loss. I'll make sure he remains in Nigeria for the rest of his life—he’s not to move anywhere else!"

Aemon interjected, "My Lord, I must clarify to Victor that there were no true monks or masters under his command. Even had he anticipated the assault on Morocco, he would have been powerless to intervene. His real mistake lies in permitting Tara to go there. However, overall, sending Tara there was a reasonable decision, given her role as the assistant of the Right Army Governor's Office."

Continuing, Aemon added, "If you keep him in Nigeria, the Right Army Governor's Office will lose both a station and an assistant, never to be replaced. These cumulative setbacks will undoubtedly demoralize them, possibly leading to greater issues down the line. Please consider this carefully!"

Morgana fell into a deep contemplation.

She recognized that Aemon's insights were valid. Although her anger was directed at Victor Steel, he wasn't solely to blame for the predicament. The urgent priority now was finding a method to withdraw personnel from Nigeria. The Three Elders couldn't remain away indefinitely, but their exposure would inevitably lead to significant future risks.

With this in mind, she said coldly, "Relay my orders. Since Nigeria is compromised, dispatch the Nigerian Cavalry Guard to Morocco. The garrison there is deep within, distanced from the coastline, making it difficult for more than 10,000 troops to withdraw quickly. Have them search Morocco thoroughly and dig deep for any clues!"

Aemon immediately replied, "Understood, Lord Mirren. I will notify them right away!"

Morgana added, "Furthermore, inform the Three Elders to evacuate Nigeria immediately, but caution them against flying directly back to Argentina. They should first travel by land to neighboring countries and return separately after several trips. Remind them to remain vigilant and avoid being followed."

"Understood! I will relay that message!"

Morgana continued, "As for Victor Steel, instruct the Three Elders to sever his left hand as a warning, and then command him to relocate the garrison of the Right Army Governor's Office immediately. Ensure no one can trace their location!"
