The Amazing Son in Law/

Chapter - 5913

Chapter 5913

Until now, Victor Steel still couldn't quite believe that the man standing before him had the legendary Remodeling Pill. Just from the description of its effects, it was evident that this type of pill is incredibly valuable. Even Victor's own father might hesitate to part with it for his son, let alone the fact that the man in front of him was the Warriors Den's most formidable enemy for centuries. However, after taking the pill, he immediately felt a surge of heat and an intolerable itch in the wound on his left wrist, which was incredibly uncomfortable. Unlike Jack, Yuhiko Ito, or Kairi, who had been treated with care, Charlie showed no such concern for Victor Steel. When Jack and the others took the Remodeling Pill, Charlie had gone out of his way to arrange for them to do so while soaking in a mud-filled bathtub to alleviate their discomfort. Victor, however, had no such luxury and had to endure the grueling sensations. In no time, his wound felt as if it were being chewed on by thousands of tiny ants—painfully itchy and increasingly swollen. Just when he was at his wits' end with the pain, he suddenly noticed his flat wound beginning to bulge. A small, bud-like protrusion appeared at the top of the bulge, which continued to grow and expand like a germinating seed, eventually sprouting five thin buds at its tip. At that moment, Victor Steel completely forgot about the pain and itch that was gnawing at him, his gaze fixed in horror on the emerging bud. He could see that the five small buds had formed on the large bud, taking shape as a palm! His eyes widened in disbelief, staring at the miniature palm before glancing at Charlie, muttering, "This... this... is this really a new left hand?" Charlie smiled reassuringly and replied, "Yes, it's real. In just a few minutes, your left hand will be restored to its original state." Victor Steel's heart surged with excitement! Yet, along with his exhilaration, he couldn't shake the confusion in his eyes as he regarded Charlie. After a moment of contemplation, he finally asked, "Sir... I really don't understand. Since you are the enemy of the Warriors Den, why would you give me such a precious elixir for free?" Charlie chuckled and replied, "I am not an enemy of the Warriors Den as a whole, but rather of Morgana alone. To me, the other members of the Warriors Den are merely unfortunate souls who have been poisoned and enslaved by her." After saying this, he looked intently at Victor Steel and continued, "And I know why you lost your left hand. It must have been my actions against Duke Mining that embarrassed Morgana, prompting her to pin the blame on you." On hearing this, Victor Steel thought to himself, "Doesn't this person know that I am a descendant of the British Lord? Does he really think I'm just like those cavalry guards who have to follow orders from the Lord?" With that in mind, he quickly followed along with Charlie's narrative, saying, "Sir, you are absolutely right. Given our circumstances, we have no choice but to comply with whatever the Lord commands. She demanded a sacrifice of my left hand, so I had no option but to comply..." Charlie nodded in sympathy, saying, "It’s truly pitiful to be controlled by this old witch who has lived for 400 years, don’t you agree?" Victor Steel instinctively refrained from speaking such treasonous thoughts, but the current situation felt different. This man treated him as a fellow victim of the Lord, and had even given him an extremely valuable Remodeling Pill. While he couldn’t bring himself to oppose the Lord alongside him, he could at least engage in conversation. So, he sighed dramatically, "You are right. She has a twisted mind and is utterly cruel. To her, we are no more significant than ants on the roadside, easily crushed at her whim." As he spoke, his gaze drifted back to his left hand. The granulation had fully transformed into the shape of a palm, albeit one significantly smaller than that of a newborn baby. Despite its diminutive size, it felt as if the nerves were reconnecting. When he attempted to move his left hand, he was astonished to find it could obey his will. This realization filled him with immense excitement. He exclaimed eagerly, "Sir... this elixir is truly remarkable! A hand that was completely severed can actually grow back. It’s incredible!" Charlie nodded and asked with a smile, "Since I’ve given you such a valuable elixir, shouldn’t you express your gratitude?" Victor Steel was quick to respond, "Sir, please let me know what you need. I will do everything in my power to assist you!" At that moment, Victor Steel had come to a conclusion. This man had given him such a precious elixir without any apparent threats, indicating that he likely wanted to turn him into an ally or possibly even gain his loyalty, much like those cavalry guards he had taken away. If he wanted me to become an insider, I would play along. If he intended to take me away, I would deceive him into thinking it more beneficial for him to keep me in the Warriors Den as an informant.

In short, I would bide my time and deceive him into leaving. I would acquire a free pill. Even though I hadn't seen his face today, our encounter would allow me to investigate his identity later on and perhaps achieve great favor with the Lord! Charlie was already aware of Victor's background. He knew he couldn't persuade such a person to rebel, regardless of what he said. Thus, he didn't actually intend to bribe him. Instead, he smiled and said, "I don’t need your help, but since we’re on the topic, please relay a message to Morgana." Victor Steel was relieved to hear this. By this time, his left hand had grown to the size of a small child’s, still expanding at an astonishing rate. With excitement, he said to Charlie, "Rest assured, sir. Just tell me what you want me to say, and I will deliver it word for word!" Charlie replied, "Don’t worry, just wait until your left hand is fully grown." Victor Steel watched his left hand with eager anticipation. It had now taken on the appearance of a teenager’s hand! The speed of regeneration was truly jaw-dropping! After about another minute had passed, his palm was almost the same size as it had been before, and the wound was completely gone. Those unaware of the situation might not even believe he had ever lost a hand. Victor Steel couldn't contain his excitement, gazing at his restored left hand. "Thank you for your kindness, sir! Thank you!" With a hum, Charlie stood up and said, "Now that your left hand is healed, I should take my leave as I have matters to discuss with Morgana." Victor Steel urged him, "Please, go ahead!" Charlie instructed, "Just tell Morgana that one day, I will kill her with my own hands, and then I will commission a bronze statue for her, forcing her to kneel before Lucius Clark's tomb to atone for her sins!" Surprised, Victor Steel thought, "So this man is connected to Maria, the one they seek from the Lord! That explains his motivations against the Warriors Den!" He then eagerly assured, "Sir, don’t worry, I will convey your message without fail!" Charlie referenced Lucius Clark primarily to confuse Morgana. He knew it wasn’t yet time to reveal his true self. Despite having met Victor Steel today, he had disguised himself and worn a mask, ensuring that no valuable clues could be traced back to him. Seeing that Victor Steel readily agreed, Charlie smiled and asked, "You must feel elated that your hand has grown back?" Victor Steel could hardly contain his joy as he nodded, "Honestly, yes! I truly am happy!" Charlie nodded, a knowing smile forming on his lips. He then looked at Victor Steel and cautioned, "But it may be too soon for you to celebrate." Victor Steel asked, somewhat puzzled, "What do you mean by that, sir?" Charlie probed further, "Have you considered that the old witch severed your left hand as a way to show others the cost you’ve paid? Now that your left hand has regrown, how can she possibly instill fear in others?" This thought perplexed Victor Steel. He had contemplated relaying everything about this man to the Lord, hoping he would be forgiven for his service. But he dared not share this with Charlie, so he struggled to respond, "Sir, you’re absolutely right. Figuring out how to deal with that old witch is certainly a complicated issue, but there’s no need for you to worry. I will find a solution." Charlie smiled, saying, "In fact, I have a great plan that will ensure you keep your left hand." Victor Steel eagerly inquired, "Please, enlighten me, sir!" Charlie’s expression turned focused as he suddenly grabbed Victor Steel's right wrist. Infusing his palm with reiki, he transformed it into a sharp edge and, in one swift motion, cut off Victor Steel's right hand! Victor Steel erupted in pain, sweat pouring down his face. He looked at Charlie in horror, wanting to cry out, but found his throat constricted by an invisible force that rendered him voiceless. In that moment, realization struck: Charlie had not genuinely intended to help him but had instead orchestrated this cruel trick! The Lord had severed his left hand, claiming it back after a few days. Now, his left hand was intact, but with his right hand lost, how could this not be a blow to the Lord’s dignity? Furthermore, Victor would use the very hand that had regrown to slap the Lord in the face! This man was truly devious and malicious; he deserved to be punished! Charlie observed Victor's anguished and furious expression, smiling as he said, "Don’t look at me with such angry eyes. What are you upset about? You merely traded your right hand for your left. It's just a swap—you're not losing anything. In the end, I gave you a Remodeling Pill for free, yet I’m the one who ends up worse off!"
