Chapter - 6002

While Charlie and his wife were dining with Tawanna and Trevor, Don Albert was rarely seen without his phone, incessantly scrolling through it.

The news about Tawanna's visit to Aurous Hill had taken over all major social media platforms tonight, and he was surprised to see that Heaven Springs was also frequently mentioned across these platforms. He kept scrolling and noticed the name of his own restaurant repeatedly popping up.

This brought to mind what Charlie had just told him. With such a strong reputation now, opening a new branch seemed like a natural progression.

Outside the restaurant, a large group of reporters was waiting.

They were eager for Tawanna to agree to an interview after dinner.

Even if they couldn’t secure an interview, they still hoped to capture some exclusive photos and videos to publish.

The media representatives expressed to the waiter their desire to interview the owner of Heaven Springs.

When the waiter relayed this request to Don Albert, he became quite anxious.

In the past, Don Albert had been the underground king of the city, relishing in his pride and feeling like he had reached the pinnacle of success.

However, since meeting Charlie, he began to understand that he had come from humble beginnings, and his current circumstances were similarly modest.

The identity he once took pride in—the underground emperor—had now transformed into a source of deep insecurity.

He felt that someone of his background should not flaunt his successes in front of someone like Charlie, a Young Master from a prominent family.

Nevertheless, Charlie had not only refrained from looking down upon him, but he had also consistently offered his encouragement.

To help Don Albert establish a new business, Charlie had even invited a major celebrity to dine at his restaurant, leaving him feeling increasingly grateful yet inadequate.

What worried him was not Charlie's opinion, but the potential consequences if his past came to light once he gained notoriety.

If that were to happen, not only could Heaven Springs be adversely affected, but it could also tarnish Charlie's reputation as a celebrity friend.

Thus, Don Albert was reluctant to grant interviews to the media and instructed the waiter to turn down their requests.

At the same time, he wanted to find an opportunity to ask Charlie if his past might hinder the future growth of Heaven Springs.

If it would, perhaps it would be best not to pursue the endeavor at all; after all, he was already quite content to follow Charlie.

More than an hour later, Charlie, his wife, and Tawanna wrapped up their dinner.

Tawanna delicately wiped her mouth and remarked, "The food here is exquisite. Thank you, Mr. Wade, for your generous hospitality."

Charlie smiled back, saying, "You'll be in Aurous Hill for a few more days. If you have time, feel free to visit again. The owner has a great rapport with me, and he’ll ensure you are well taken care of."

Tawanna nodded enthusiastically, adding, "I know Mr. Wade has a good relationship with the owner, so I took pictures of every dish before eating. I’ll post them on my social media later, tagging this restaurant to promote it."

Charlie grinned and said, "That's fantastic. Generally speaking, purchasing a shout-out from you could be worth millions; a soft advertisement usually runs at least several million dollars, right?"

Tawanna responded, a touch shy, "Since what I post reflects my own experiences at the restaurant, it complicates things—usually, I need to schedule with my agent for photos and videos, and the current rate is over 20 million dollars each."

She continued, "But Mr. Wade, please rest assured, I'll do this for free as a favor."

Charlie nodded appreciatively, saying, "Then I thank you on behalf of the owner."

While saying this, Charlie couldn’t help but reflect on the fact that, despite being a top international star, Tawanna remained very down-to-earth.

At that moment, Tawanna added, "There are likely many reporters waiting outside. When I step out later, I’ll briefly take some interviews and answer questions related to this place."

Charlie glanced at the time and smiled, "You've just finished a long journey, and you need to rest. We'll wrap up here, allowing you to head back to the hotel early."

Tawanna hesitated but insisted, "It's alright, Mr. Wade; we're not too tired. There's no work scheduled for today, so we can rest well. We don't need to hurry back to the hotel."

Charlie thought to himself that while she might not be in a hurry to return, he needed to leave after her. Any delays might disrupt his wife's rest.

Trevor interjected, "Honey, you mentioned that you want to do media interviews as soon as you go out. There will definitely be many reporters to contend with when you reach the hotel, which may take some time."

Tawanna paused for a moment, not wanting to appear too eager in front of Trevor, then nodded and said, "In that case, let’s go to the hotel now; Mr. Wade, Mrs. Wade, we can catch up next time."

Charlie nodded and responded with a smile, "You head back to the hotel. We won’t accompany you, as there are indeed a lot of media reporters outside. If they discover we dined together, we would surely attract their attention, and we can wait until you and the media have left before we venture out."

"Okay," Tawanna agreed, standing up and shaking hands with both Charlie and Claire, saying, "Thank you, Mr. Wade and Mrs. Wade, for your hospitality. We're leaving now."

Charlie then called Don Albert over, and he and Claire accompanied the two to the door. He said to Don Albert, "Please see them out."

"Of course, Master Wade," Don Albert replied, nodding as he escorted the two to the first floor.

When the media reporters caught sight of Tawanna and Trevor exiting, they immediately perked up, snapping pictures of both them and Don Albert. As Don Albert escorted them outside, the reporters rushed in. Fortunately, Tawanna's staff positioned themselves in front to shield her from the crowd.

The reporters bombarded them with questions, all related to Heaven Springs. They were eager to learn about Tawanna's impressions of the restaurant, especially since she dined here right after landing.

In front of the media, Tawanna praised the service, food, and environment of Heaven Springs, even declaring it her personal choice for the best Chinese food.

As a result, Heaven Springs quickly ascended to the top of the domestic trending news list.

Don Albert could hardly believe his restaurant had become a hot topic. While he felt elated, he was also increasingly anxious, fearing that someone would unearth his shady past during this exposure.

However, to his astonishment, he searched through the trending topics for a long time and found no mention of his past.

Concerned, he decided to call his old partner, Isaac Cameron.

As soon as Isaac picked up, he teased, "Don Albert, your Heaven Springs is famous nationwide tonight! How do you still have time to call me?"

Don Albert quickly responded, "Oh, Mr. Cameron, please stop joking. I'm quite nervous right now."

Isaac asked with a chuckle, "Nervous about what?"

With a sigh of discomfort, Don Albert replied, "It's obviously about my old history and background... My past can't stand up to any thorough investigation... Personally, I’ve moved on from it, but I just don’t want to cause any trouble for Master Wade or disappoint him."

Isaac reassured him with a smile, "Don’t you worry. When I left Aurous Hill, the Young Master entrusted you with my position; I made sure to clean everything up thoroughly. As long as you stay away from those old ways, no one will dig up your past!"
