The Amazing Son in Law/

Chapter - 6005

Chapter - 6005

Half an hour later, Steve Rothschild arrived at Heaven Springs, accompanied by a group of bodyguards.

Unlike his previous visits, this time he was prepared for a prolonged engagement in Aurous Hill. In fact, several days ago, his loyal subordinates had already begun arriving in the city.

Of course, Matt Finkelstein was with him.

At this moment, Matt Finkelstein was in a much brighter mood than before.

Previously, he had felt like a lost dog, scurrying about and hiding, wishing he could remain permanently away from the United States.

Now, however, things had changed; he had aligned himself with the second-in-command of the Rothschild family.

More importantly, the news of his allegiance to the Rothschilds had reached everyone, which meant they understood that the secrets he held were now in the hands of the Rothschild family.

In this light, any pursuit of Matt Finkelstein had become meaningless.

Eliminating him would not protect those secrets but would instead provoke a furious retaliation from the Rothschilds.

As a result, Matt Finkelstein found himself in a secure position.

Because of this newfound security, he was wholly devoted to Steve, resolved to follow him like a loyal companion.

During their journey, Steve had mentioned he was going to meet a Chinese man he held in high regard. This piqued Matt Finkelstein's curiosity; he wondered just who could earn such praise from a Rothschild heir.

Upon arriving at Heaven Springs, he followed Steve through the entrance.

Don Albert had been waiting for them. As soon as he saw Steve, he broke into a broad smile and said, "Hello, Mr. Rothschild, it's good to see you again."

Steve smiled back, seamlessly switching to fluent Chinese. "Oh, Don Albert, it’s wonderful to see you again! I missed you these past few days."

As he spoke, he gave Don Albert a gentle hug. "I’ve brought you the finest Cuban cigars. My men will present them to you to enjoy later."

Don Albert felt a surge of excitement and thought to himself, “What kind of life am I living? The heirs of the Rothschild family are bringing me gifts to win my favor.”

In light of this, he smiled and replied, "Mr. Rothschild, you're far too generous. Why bring me gifts when you’re here?"

Steve smiled and said, "Please, don’t call me Mr. Rothschild. It feels too formal. Just call me Steve; we’re friends, after all."

He then inquired, "Where is Mr. Wade?"

Don Albert grinned and said, "Mr. Wade is waiting for you in the private box. Let’s head up together."

"Sounds good," Steve nodded. He gestured to Matt Finkelstein beside him and introduced him to Don Albert. "By the way, Don Albert, this is Matt Finkelstein, a younger brother of mine who will be living with me in Aurous Hill going forward."

Don Albert nodded with a smile. "Hello, Mr. Finkelstein."

Matt quickly bowed his head and replied respectfully, "Don Albert, I appreciate your guidance in Aurous Hill in the future."

"Of course, of course," Don Albert said, giving Steve a light pat on the shoulder. "Steve and I are like brothers, so you don’t need to stand on ceremony here."

Normally, if someone slapped Steve on the back and called him brother, he would have bristled. What right do you have to call me brother?

But coming from Don Albert, he was genuinely pleased.

He felt a camaraderie with Don Albert, truly like brothers.

Don Albert led both of them to the private diamond box, where Charlie was already seated.

As soon as Steve entered, he said politely, “Hello, Mr. Wade!”

Charlie smiled and asked, “So, Steve, are you planning to stay for a while this time?”

Steve grinned and said, “Yes, Mr. Wade. To be honest, I plan to stay in Aurous Hill for a decade or so this time.”

He quickly introduced Matt Finkelstein to Charlie, saying, “Mr. Wade, this is the Matt Finkelstein I mentioned earlier.”

At that moment, Matt was also gazing at Charlie in astonishment.

He simply could not understand why someone so young commanded such profound respect from Steve.

He couldn't fathom if there was anyone in the world with a higher status than Steve.

It seemed impossible.

Yet, Steve's respect for Charlie was not only apparent in his demeanor but deeply ingrained in his character.

Charlie noted Matt Finkelstein's surprise and said with a smile, "A few days ago, you were the one who wanted to have Tawanna killed, correct?"

Matt’s heart raced as he thought, "Could it be that he is the one backing Tawanna? Is he the one who asked Steve to remove the threat?"

With that realization, he felt a wave of panic and quickly replied, "Mr. Wade, I sincerely apologize. I was foolish at the time to make such a decision. I’ve come to understand my mistake and have done everything I can to prevent this matter. Please be magnanimous and don't hold it against me."

Charlie nodded and said, "As for any past grudges between you and Tawanna, and whatever knowledge you two share, I don’t wish to interfere too much. As long as you don’t pose any threats to her from now on, I won’t pursue this matter."

Matt felt a heavy weight lift and quickly said, "Mr. Wade, rest assured, I am now completely devoted to Mr. Steve Rothschild and will not undertake any actions that could threaten Tawanna!”

Charlie nodded and asked, “You’re aware Tawanna has arrived in China, correct?”

"I am, Mr. Wade! After all, she's all over the news right now," Matt replied respectfully.

Charlie smiled and said, “I plan to call her over soon. You two can meet and settle any lingering issues.”

He then looked at Steve and added, “By the way, Steve, I want to introduce her to you. If she needs any assistance in the future, please extend your help.”

Steve immediately brightened and said, “Mr. Wade, that's easy to say! With your endorsement, her affairs will be my concern. No matter how complicated things get, I, Steve, will ensure her safety.”

Charlie smiled and nodded before picking up his phone to call Tawanna on WeChat.

As soon as the call connected, Tawanna asked in surprise, “Mr. Wade, are you looking for me?”

Charlie inquired, “Are you busy right now?”

Tawanna replied, “I'm reviewing the venue, finalizing some details. I’ll start the formalities in the afternoon.”

Charlie asked, “Do you have any lunch plans?”

Tawanna answered, “Not yet; I should be eating with the staff.”

Charlie suggested, “Why don’t you come to Heaven Springs? I’ll treat you, and I can introduce you to a friend.”
